For alternative outfits don't you think the original characters that tranversed from the 2D realm into the 3D realm should have their debut outfit?

For Example,

Sub-Zero could have the original costume that was seen in the first Mortal Kombat.

Johnny Cage would have his outfit from the first Mortal Kombat and no glasses.

What do you think?

Good theory... but those costumes have no "sha-bang" you have to have costumes now with all the bells and whistles they could put in... a simple ninja outfit would only serve nostalgic purposes... IMO

Same idea i thought of. I think it would be awesome to have the original costumes. Maybe as unlockable versions or the 2nd player costume. Id like it either way.

I like the idea, but not for all the characters, and besides, I actually want NEW outfits.

Scorpion could have his MK1 look. I love the ninjas first outfits, so simple, yet awesome.

Johnny Cage in Mk2 outfit.

I see what you're saying, and in a way I agree with you. However, I think - regardless of the level of details - that the costume design in MK1 and MK2 was, for the most part, way better than most stuff in MKDA.
A lot of the costumes in MKDA were overly cluttered with pointless junk, I think Johnny Cage is the prime example of this... just look at his belt! What's up with that? Does he want people to slam that metal knocker thing in his crotch or what?
If I were to choose between MK2 and MKDA designs, regardless of the graphics of the game or whatever, I'd choose the MK2 desings simply because I think they're better. Adding more details does definitely not guarantee better costume/character design, IMO. From what we've seen so far of MKD though, the costume design seems to have improved a lot since the last game.
I won't be dissappointed if older designs/outfits are omitted - partly because I sure as hell don't except them to be included, and partly because the new designs seem to be solid anyway - but I do think it would be a most welcome addition, even if it's just for nostalgia.

There would be a total of 2 alternative outfits. Another completley different brand new costume for the characters, and for the classic characters their debut outfit.

I really like how they did that with Kano in Mk:da, when he had his 2nd costume like his Mk1 costume. Maybe they will do it with sum chars, i hope they do it with Sindel because her older costume looks so good, so evil

I think that it would be really cool and different if each characer was given at least three or four different outfits.

Baraka's alt costume is all black with a hood. At least that's what it looked like to me.. kinda blurry.
