Anyone notice Scorpion looked the same?

Maybe, just maybe, the reson Scorpion is the only DA character we've seen (the sub-zero is probably the dead one--no scar.) is because they aren't changing their outfits, (except maybe adding new alts.) and they will basically all be the same. Maybe most of them are coming back, too. That would be awesome, because we could have a crapload of characters, potentially. Though, I would like 2 alts per character and new outfits, Scorpion makes it obvious this won't be the case with all of them.

Oh, and I'm sorry, but I have to add this: Nightwolf sucks. Though hopefully he'll improve in this game.

There will be diffrences... they are not making this game for like two years and say hey! The hell with it! Lets just do a real half-assed job and just tool around with Deadly Allaince! See Sub- Zero? Sorry if I'm kind of harsh on you man

No no, you misunderstood--I think there will be 2 Sub-Zeros--this one we've seen is the one from MK1, I think. ..and Scorpion did look almost identical to the way he did in DA--didn't you see the vid?

I thought Scorpion looked the same as well until I saw the PSM scans. I can see that he looks different, now. But it's more of an upgraded look than a changed look, if you know what I mean.

Yeah you're right man but still I don't think they are going to just rip out the charecter models from DA and just slap them in Deception... maybe there are like classic costumes that you can unlock in a Krypt type thing? And you can unlock Scorpion's DA outfit... kind of stupid theory on my part

I'd be fine if they just upgraded his graphics a little more, and maybe some slight add-ins. Maybe just a skull behind the mask??I know someone drew a pic like that on the fan art section,...it kicked a$$.

If they take this route, I hope they make it a little more... you know... like THERE... we all have pulled off Subby's Fatal on Scorp's alt, and we have all seen Sub pull out another skull out of Scorpion's skull... I dunno if that makes sense im really tired right now

I beleive someone who has the PSM magazine said that although Scorpion looks similar, there are some definite new aspects about him.

Of course they will change them... they are not going to put carbon copies of the charecters from DA into Deception...

Scorpion is the man!

I say we start a Scorpion concept art topic. Can anyone here do some really good 3D character art? How about you come up with your best Scorpion look? Add some really smooth effects, like flaming eyes, or, even an aura-type flameness surrounding Scorp.

This topic would belong in MKD, because, it has to do with Scorpion's new look in MKD. wink

Just have fun with it.

ive seen 2 different versions of him from the screen shots.

1 he had the outfit on from da, without the shoulder and thigh pads.

2, he had on his mk2 lookin' mask, with the vent marks in it, and a different lookin' outfit.
Also though, how much can you really change scorpion? There's nothing really major you can do with him....just minor tinkering, if anything.

I think it's more of a MK1-MK2 change.. I mean there is a difference but not something that completely alters the dynamics of the outfits.

.....I believe everyone missed the point of this thread--it wasn't suppossed to be a Scorpion fashion thread, lol. I was suggesting that they might do this to most of the DA characters, allowing us to have a larger select screen. Imagine having 30+ characters this time! See? My guess is they just added an extra alt to Scorpion and the rest and edited their others just a touch, like adding/removing skull or adding texture.

The alternative costume of Scorpion will be a great change, according to it has commented a very trustworthy source of Midway.

This was supposed to have been built from scratch, like MK:DA. Well I didn't see much difference in the trailer. The game engine looks exactly the same as the one used in MK:DA and the graphics still suck when compared to games like Soulcalibur 2 or DoA 3. This is not a new MK game, its only MK:DA with more arenas, characters and finishing moves. This game was only created coz MK:DA wasn't even half as good as we expected. In my opinion, MK:DA and MK:Deception could be one PERFECT game together. MK:deception just took everything MK:DA left out and continued its storyline.

*sigh* I don't really care that much about Scorpion's outfit, guys. I was more interested in what it represents... I thought it was clear what I was trying to say, but I guess if a thread says "Scorpion," that's all anyone will talk about... ah well.
