You guys remember a long while back when people predicted that a lot of good MKD players would suck at MKA? Well, most of them just stopped playing MKA because of that. Others almost never even started. And then there's Atari.

Not to say lag doesn't exist with certain people... but wow. It negatively affects Atari in every possible way. All the time. With every player. He doesn't guess wrong. His controller enables him to never mis-time any attack. He keeps his composure during matches, so that doesn't alter his play either. It's just MKA's lag that prevents Atari's 90% win-percentage.

We should all apologize to him that his high-priority, instant-recovery moves (which have nothing to do with online) from MKD don't help him in MKA (read first paragraph). Awwwww. If I didn't see this type of thing coming before MKA was even released, I'd feel bad for guys like Atari.

please...your scorp got beat. and I thought your kai was one of your best? if i remember correctly you only pick mid and low tiers because that is who you are. Plus those first matches i picked mid to low tiers because i was on the phone not caring.

you can be on the internet while you play mk...the problem occurs when you load a page or download something. If the screen is idle with no moving pictures or data streaming then there is no problem. If loading does occur i cannot control it. It affects me as well as the person i play...it usually ends in a disconnect.

and reread my post...when did i complain about lag?

In the past however many years i have played mk online i have found that posting on MKO or MKAC can be done if done in between matches or on the loading screen or the character select screen.

This in no way effects the match. I do this every time i play. play, post or refresh page, play, post, play, refresh, play, check email, play, etc....

the fact that you still suck at this game with a programmable controller is atrocious. you want to get better?...start by playing to win...not picking kai

what mesofly says is true,,, that doing all that wont effect the gameplay... but that fact that your comp is turned on and connected to the internet will, and if u use a router even more its effected.

I've always enjoyed games with Atari. I think you guys play cronyism a little too much. And I think we all forget that no one gets paid or tax breaks for being number one at MKA. I play MKA to get entertained as much as I play to win but it ain't just all about winning for me.

The real game I play is the game of life and I damn well play that to the best of my ability solely to win.

Mesofly - So Quan Chi vs your Dai (very good by the way) I thought real hard about it and patiently waited for you to throw out a parry. But when I went to attack, the first two hits whiff and then you parry the last hit for the win. Damn I suck. I should have adapted and went to no the previous match.

I was reading RaidenWins article the other day on why MKD is better than MKA. I have to say we have all gotten used to very bad programming and often tell each other to just deal with it. I've lost and won some freaky matches because of camera angle and lag effect.

It's often hard to think you're not at disadvantage yet again you don't know what the other person on the other end is feeling. MKA would have been such a great game had these little anomalies were properly and patiently tested out but I guess it's a little too late to be crying about it now. Let's hope MK8 gives us all a plain level field.

are you doing this? If not then i apologize. If what you saw was so outrageous that it cost you the match then fine. if you are stretching the truth (i think you are) then like i said before...don't cry lag.

lag may cause you to loose a match sometimes but the better player should still win the series. that is why we don't play one match at a time then quit.

and if lag is the reason why you got spanked so bad by dai then i would have quit too. you lost because you did not expect what dai would bring you. mine is diff. i am not the turtler with dai.

I think you're confusing me. I don't adapt. "Adapt" is generally used in a bullshit-tense. There's only so much you can adapt to. It's a word that only people who CAN, use.

If what you're describing with MEsoFLY is what I think it is... It's similar to what I get vs. him. Where it seems like he's further away than he actually is. I was getting a lot of that first-hit-misses stuff and only long-lunging moves could counter many attacks.
