Mesofly - So Quan Chi vs your Dai (very good by the way) I thought real hard about it and patiently waited for you to throw out a parry. But when I went to attack, the first two hits whiff and then you parry the last hit for the win. Damn I suck. I should have adapted and went to no the previous match.
I think you're confusing me. I don't adapt. "Adapt" is generally used in a bullshit-tense. There's only so much you can adapt to. It's a word that only people who CAN, use.
If what you're describing with MEsoFLY is what I think it is... It's similar to what I get vs. him. Where it seems like he's further away than he actually is. I was getting a lot of that first-hit-misses stuff and only long-lunging moves could counter many attacks.
Is that what you're talking about?

Mesofly - Its not even a matter of what you SEE on your screen...just THINK about what is going on here in the final sequence. Im amazed that it doesnt strike you as weird?
1. After a missed TS drop, you mis time your parry...
2. I walk up close and hesitate ever so slightly and allow time for the parry frames to pass.....
3. Then I began to attack with 1,1,4 to a free throw (min 30-40% damage) with Quan Chi in mind....
BAM
4. I completely whiff 1,1 and on top of that, you throw out another parry that connects with the 4 for the win.....WTF!!
I mean damn, the entire match I avoid 4-5 TS drops and dont even ATTEMPT to counter KNOWING you can not block. I was PATIENTLY WAITING for this opportunity KNOWING I would be close enough to spook you into a parry. I was getting killed and needed to punish your reckless offensive assault.
Cause damn man, it was reckless.
Smell me?

What game are you playing? Because I have rarely seen an instance when my opponent is utterly safe off of everything and so am I. Same with jumping and jump-kicks. We can't both have ridiculous priority. If we had the same priority, it would be balanced out and nobody would complain. That's not the case.
People complain because lag makes elements of the game imbalanced. So it gets frustrating when one player has to work harder than his opponent to achieve the same result. It's even more frustrating when one player works harder than his opponent and still comes up short.
^^ That's why "adapting" will only take you to a certain point against some people. And that's why I made my comment on that word.

aww man..that sucks..but i'm sure you can find a good deal on one if u look around and wait..i payed only $150 for mine with the harddrive..i'll keep an eye out for another good deal like that...i'm actually looking for a black one myself ..if i find one cheap..i'll sell u mine cheap...but either way u have to try and get a 360..its a pretty darn good system

Its clearly a good deal booya. Even if it did crap out Microsoft will fix it. For FREE. Mines broke 2x. Both times its been fixed without me spending a penny. They even take care of shipping and handling and what not. Anyway, it depends on the birth date of the system.

i bought mine used....used it for a few months..then it broke....i called customer service they sent me box to send it to them..then they sent me back a brand new unit...and it works good ever since.
i dont know but i think 150 is a steal for a 360 with a hard drive

Are you sure about that? I thought we had a thread about this a while ago stating that your advantage is as good as his, ChecK said it i believe.

Iori, yea you got it flipped buddy. if someone has the advantage, the other is kinda screwed. However there is the ability to adapt, as chaos explained it very well, to a certain degree.
I would think that you knew that since you play online?

Oh no, I just got a little confused thats all, all because of that one thread, but anyway.
I was thinking about changing my name anyway, but it has to end with a 9 (because most of my nicks do)

What do you guys think i mean when i say adapt ?
This conversation has opened my eyes over what you guys think adapting is , and what you guys assume i perceive when i say it .
No , you dont adapt to a certain degree , theres no extent to it besides what your opponent is making you do in vice versa , Lag most certainly takes a toll in hardship to a fight and will most likely define the end result of the match , in most cases ofcource , this is after all online , right ? it all depends on how bad it is aswell .
but in conclusion Lag and Adapting are two very existing but distant by a long shot words to use in reference to each other .

i understand what you mean bone. But like chaos said. Adapting can be done to a certain degree. I understand the poser of adapting and so does chaos. HE has changed his game so much that he almost takes the advantage out of his opponents corner by having a super offense.
And i have come very far in this game to the point where i can get much closer to Easy than i used to.
the end of this month EAZY...you are MINE...you too BONE...you too DOOHOO.

Bone, people understand what you mean when you say "adapt". I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN. What you don't understand is that you likely don't deal with a lot of what some people do. Especially against the one's that argue this with you.
Some people DO adapt to a certain degree... and that's all. Take Sareena for example... If FF+1 is safe, how do you adapt then? You already have the connection to do machine-gun knives and you have (weap) b3; 2; 2,b3; d1; and d2 that are 100% safe not to mention jump-over hesitations.
But you don't think lag has anything to do with it. You also don't the the character you pick has anything to do with it. You have the advantage so YOU CAN ADAPT. But against you, SOME PEOPLE CAN'T ADAPT. But you don't believe that at all.
You think that people blame lag too much. And you're right, some people do. But you treat everybody with blanket-statements. You tell people to "adapt" as if they're stupid. We know to adapt. I know to adapt. Over the time this game has been out, I've "adapted" my gameplay to a further degree than most people online simply because I've realized that I can't get away with what most people can.
So when you tell people to "adapt" to their opponent, your speaking PURELY of YOUR online-experience and acting as if everybody has the same options as you. Well, Bone, some people have far fewer options than you do. But you don't believe it.

Well said Chaos - This is why I cant stand the way the word "adapt" is being applied when discussing MKA online games.

this is the exact same thing i told you on the Post you Quoted , so no you dont .
read it again , it will make more sense the second time .
i sayd lag takes a big toll in hardship to the match , and most of the time will decide the match .
and no , not everybody knows how to adapt , writing about Lag and Adapting together is a big joke and shows how much you know . If you lag you lag , if you adapt you adapt , theres no extent to how much you can adapt , it has nothing to do with lag = hence the reason MKA is a joke , Lag decides the game most of the time .
you can adapt all game long , theres no extent to it . Lag on the other hand is another story . If it lags it lags , you cant do anything about it .
FF1 gets affected by lag in good way's or bad way's , knives have nothing to do with lag .
