Baraka should be in this game! He is my favorite.

Funny, I never heard anyone saying that they hate Baraka because he's cheap. Unless it's only you who get's whipped by people who select Baraka as their character to fight against you.

Otherwise, as I stated before, it will be unlikely that this character will return for this game.

Yeah, Baraka is one of the more nastier characters in MK. He's all about savage, viciousness

i guess it can be done similiar to them,alot of those are a bit crap but some of them are cool

i can see him making it as i suspect most of the roster will be mk/mk2
if he dident make a big impact in mk2 he defently did in deception

I doubt Midway would give him a Sharpening Stone since this is after all a "T" rated game. That's not to say DC couldn't give him Sand Paper to smooth out his blades.

I really don't expect Baraka to make the cut... but I wonder if the T rating really impedes on the decision. Obviously a certain degree of blood and violence is allowed... It's not like Baraka has to have fatalities...

i dont think he is cheap but he defently has one of the most powerful fighting styles in the 3d games

i say he was cheap in the playstation verson of mk trilogy cause the computer never seems to defend itself against him when he is spinning around,also doin the spin twice makes for a good combo

I really hope Baraka is in, but there are characters who are more probalby to get in. With only 10 or 11 slots, his chances are slim. Although baraka has really original looks (shame his storyline never got past servng the strongest force in Outworld).

If he would be in, with a finisher... WTF is he going to do without his blades?? Just wouldn't make sense already!!

Of course, Midway likes to make their own characters perform special moves 3 times in a row. It's like how Blaze can kill you just by rolling around on the top of the pyramid. That's why I don't like doing specials, or if they have to use specials, it should be like World of Warcraft, that there is a wait time to use another ability after one uses a certain move then wants to do another. That's what I think Midway should do with their powers.

It wouldn't be cheap.

Now this is stupid. IF he's in in,he will definetly have blade related moves and finishers. Just because DC is gonna be involved it doesn't mean there cant be blood,brutality,killing,impaling,etc. It'll all be there, you'll see.
This is going to be a very violent and brutal game. Masks breaking and clothes tearing. Hard punches and kicks. Klose kombat. You can smash people through walls and beat them in the air! This will be just as violent as any other MK game. Except you can't completley mutilate your opponent.

Don't forget toned down fatalites, dear Christ this is going to be so goddamn brutal! we can fight in mid air like Neo!! holy hell!!! and dont forget the boxing! Damn, and I thought it couldn't get anymore brutal! Oh and the men in tights and underwear on the outside! BRUTALITY AT MAXIMUM!

What I ment was it's gonna be everything an old MK fight would have minus the gore and fatalities and stuff. I'll bet anything it's true. Perhaps 70 percent of a classic arcade fight in 3D. Who cares anyway?

I think this thread has really discussed as much as it can about Baraka.

The Iconic Character thread was created to act as the home of any and all character discussion that individual users feel are iconic to them and others. This is not by any means a way to silence the voice of the users or disparage real discussion on the specifics of characters either. This forum is very active and will become even more active and this is just an attempt to keep the forum organized and easy to navigate for all users. Without some sort of measure like this we end up having four or five threads all discussing the same character which is unnecessary.

Until we have a full roster please use the Iconic Characters thread. Thank you
