It's funny to see this, though I must say though you are right. Just becuase Reptile is not making an apperance in one game, doesn't mean that he may not be in the others in the future. Yes, Reptile is iconic towards you, and yes, he's been in a lot of games, but unfortunately, Boon didn't seem to have him make the cut and is not going to make a show in this game. Oh well, boo hoo.

Leaving Quan Chi out is also bullshit, ok, I like Shang Tsung but Quan Chi didn't evolve almost at all from the MK4 skull-thrower in blue attire. At least this would have been an opportunity for him, particularly given his talent for using some cunning means of achieving charism and power when the big trouble calls for it.


And, no, I'm not sorry if Reptile won't be in the game, he's been almost everywhere and his glory of a ninja was claimed when other perspective ninjas could have had their run, such as Rain or Ermac. What should restrain them for putting Rain in ?

jax comes from MK2 which means that he's better than every single character introduced after that except for quan chi. or atleast that seems to be the popular belief.

it's cage. it makes sense, reptile is confirmed to be absent, highly doubt it's kabal due to the time frame for the game, and as i said elsewhere cage is the only mk1 playable that has not been announced. logic+common sense = enlightenment. then again this is ed boon, so he could easily throw a huge curveball, throw all logical cues, and it'll end up being tanya or something. that would be funny.

In context, they really seem to be more references to the period of inspiration that they're drawing upon. It's already been clearly stated that the game is removed from the central canon.

I still don't buy it. Boon probably panicked by being put on the spot. Here are his words. "No. And if he was in as a secret character, I wouldn't tell you.". he was thinking "crap, either I spoil it, or I lie about it." Boon doesn't give flat out yes or no answers about anything as important as the roster. Someone give me an interview (besides this one) where he gives a straight answer about the roster (Having to do with characters that are expected to make it, none of the MKsecrets ones where they deny Mokap and Boraicho)

You're only saying that because you're a big fan of that character. To tell you the truth, I wish he hadn't even told us anything about the last few remaining spots that are open, but still, you're just saying this is because you're extremely disappointed that a favorite character will be making a no-show in the game.

Actually, Scorpion seems to have grown on me, and now he's in my top spots. But I'm serious, every die hard MK fan knows Boon would NEVER give a straight answer to something THAT important

The way things have been going for this game, I'm not going to beleive that Boon would just LIE about a popular character just like that, whether or not you beleive that he was being "panicked" during the interview or whatever. Point is, no one would lie about something that big over a game like this. With so many different things going on for this game, it's uncanny for a lie to pop out of nowhere and be like "Ha, ha, ah ha ha, I got you," And leaving us to act like "ZOMG what a fucking jerk he was." No, there's no point towards lying over a character, especially a character that's somewhat popular in the MK frenchise. There's just no point towards that.

Reptile is so underestimated. One thing I hate is how he was portrayed in the MK comics.. maybe people hate him because of that I dunno, but I do know that he is one of the most in-depth characters of the saga... he is the original MK secret... he is one of the GREATEST.

I hope MKvsDC does good so maybe we can see Reptile in the next game of the sort.
