Ashrah seems very interesting to me and I can't wait to play as her and find out more about her. I think she is good but is tainted with evil in her soul. I'm sure we'll find out more. As for her styles, Choujaio (it's supposed to be spelled Choujiao or Chuojiao) is a Northern style of Chinese Kung Fu so it's more of the fast style with good kicking moves and such. And Ba Gua Zhang (Pa Kua Chang) is the "second sister" of the 3 Daoist (Taoist) Chinese internal martial arts styles.

As am i, i think that he and Ashrah are the most interesting new characters. I still think he's evil and i think itd be cool if Dairou was his enemy (mostly cuz im opsesed with everything that is Japan and the more Samurai's the better)
I like his Hara Kiri and i hope his story and moves and fatal are awesome. i think hell prolly be one of the best new characters

I think Hotaru is another interesting new character. He look reminds me that of Fujin from MK4 and also a bit of Sephiroth from FF7. His fighting styles kick ass! Goju-Ryu, a Japanese style of Karate as well as his weapon style, Naginata, suit him well. As for Pi Gua Zhang (Pi Gua Quan), well...I don't know..but I'm sure he'll kick ass with it too. Storywise, he's actually good and if I remember correctly, he's trying to restore order in Outworld or something like that.

i love the idea of samurai's being in Mortal Kombat, i've always thought of them more whats the word, honerable than ninja's.

Don't get me wrong i love the ninja's that have been in the MK series (with the exception of Rain) but i've always associated ninjas with assassinations from the shadows, firing poison darts at people from far distances.

Hotaru puts the idea in my mind of honerable respectful 1 on 1 kombat, which one of the main themes throughout the MK series OR maybe if he's an evil rogue merecenary in deception would be even better, it diffinately puts a twist on peoples ideas of samurai's, especially after watching the film the Last Samurai.

I'd love Hotaru's weapon style to be samurai style, graceful and full of counters and reversals.

Needless to say, out of all the characters in the game, maybe because of the whole freshness he brings to Deception i'm looking forward to playing as Hotaru the most, hell he might even go as far as replacing Sub-Zero as my favourite character.

IMO hotaru is the best new charactor in deception
he looks awesome and his styles are wicked cool he is the coolest new charactor in the game

Hotaru has everything going for him in Deception so far,I mean he looks good,has great styles,has a great weapon, and looks to have a great story in "returning order to outworld", which I really think he tries to help the Dragon King reclaim his title as ruler of outworld.

And it also seems that he will have a rival, Dairou, which could be the beginning of a fierce rivalry, much like Sub Zero and Scorpion from previous MKs

MIDWAY has a problem with palette swaps or stuff.

they made a crap load of ninjas, cyborgs, and now they already making 2 samerais with dairou and hotoru, hopefully they changed darious look from MKDA kyrpt, but hotoru(dragonfly) looks cool, i like his fatality minus the explosion at the end.
