i really hope that it is not a Quan Chi / Drahmin combination.... i liked Quan chi in DA, he was my guy that i whooped up people with, Drahmin on the otherhand just seemd out of place, he did though get a new transformed self, but why change his name? exspecially to Skab? i think that Quan Chi is needed for a differnt part of this deception deal, so why waste two good fighters and turn them into one? how would you all like it if Scorpion and SubZero felt into a box and came out a new person? but wait! that allready happend... his name was Reptile...

i say, leave the fusing out, keep the MK roots, dont go with the DBZ way, if that were to happen then pretty soon we are gonna see Lui Kang in a super sayin mode, sorry guys, lets not forget what Mk is really about instead of turning it into somthing its not.....

People, dont worry too much for his name, he was never oficially confirmed as Skab, and if u consider Frost was gonna be She-Zero.... His "descriptive" name may be only a provisory one.

Actually, I too really like this new character. I don't have a problem with the name. I too reckon that he may be a Drahmin-Quan Chi hybrid (notice the flies around Skab in the render?), and if that's the case, that would make him a very interesting character. That, plus he has the potential for some great moves and fatalities. One I came up with had him eating your opponent's skin from top to toe, leaving the bare bones, which fell to the ground and shattered.

About this hypothetical situation where Skab is actually Drahmin and QUan Chi conjoined by Quan Chi's energy chamber: I recall seeing a picture of Drahmin imprisoned within one of the cells of the prison stage background. Did anyone else see this pic? So I don't think Skab is Drahmin and Q. Chi in one body.
