I don’t like the name Skab either, but he looks pretty cool. Much better then Drahmin did IMO, but who knows maybe his ending did happen and this guy is Drahmin in his new form.

I think he is one of the the Dragon King's generals or a member of the army that was resurrected. That's my opinion but I could be completely wrong.

Skab is a stupid name, and the character's design doesn't even look good. Basically Drahmin's head on Ermac's body with a helmet. Still, with names like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, and such....I guess Skab isn't that bad. Still, I loved MK for their complex names. All of the MK names just have that ring to them, I mean come on:

Kitana
Nitara
Baraka
Kano
Jax

MK names are so unique....and well, yeah.

Anyway, I think his storyline has something to do with the Netherealm.

I was just preparing a screen to prove that. Indeed, we've seen Skab before. It's the same outfit, but in SD version. U can easily notice similarity with the picture in the OPM. So, like I said before... no Baraka vs Baraka situation here:

Perhaps Skab is Drahmin's new form after coming out of Quan Chi's chamber thingy we saw at Drahmins ending

Maybe Drahmin didn't get fully transformed back, just powered up. Then he gets angry and murders Moloch in a rage (explains why Moloch is not in the game). Then if Quan Chi isn't in, Skab could kill him pre-Deception, too. I'd like to see Skab play a big part in MK later on. I just have a feeling this character will be successful.

The picture of him makes me reconsider the possibility of a Quan Chi merge. Quan Chi and Drahmin are in the Sanctum when it charges up, but meant to only restore one being's power, it confuses the entities and creates a super being. Both are angry at the idea making him have two personalities of pure rage (maybe even killing Moloch). One part of him wants to control the Dragon King's army, as well as release Onis into Edenia using Skab's new sorceror powers (Drahmin). The other wants to pledge allegiance to the Dragon King.

The good thing about a Quan Chi/Drahmin merge, is that it allows our two more MKDA characters return under the cloak of a new character. Then in MK7/MK8, we might see them split up again.

wow a lot of good points in this thread. I think that is Skab in the puzzle kombat. Also it could be Drahmin and Quan Chi in 1. Also i think that Skab is a kick ass name.

And we apparently have a MK character named that?! Madness!! I dislike the name Scab, but Im sure at some point I disliked "Johnny Cage" and "Scorpion" too so there ya go.

So we've had Drahmin, Meat and now we've "Scab" ...What a waste of character space, in my opinion.

As long as it has good moves, a decent endin and a good alt costume Im not 2 fussed.

Agreed, Skab has to be one of the worst names for a character I've ever heard. How about "wound" or "booboo" or "owie" next? Gah...

As far as Skab looks however, I think he looks sweet! The black hood, the mouth, he's kinda wearing a ninja outfit which sucks, but I can overlook that, especially if he plays well. I look forward to hearing more about him, Dairou, and some of the other new characters announced.

Boon and Co. seriously need to review the characters, we've had Meat, Mokap, and Id say Blaze but he had a half decent storyline attached to him.

Are we bein ripped off in the "secret character department" ? We had Reptile and yep, that came off well due to popularity, we had the mistake...ahem sorry, Error Macro that became Ermac, and countless others, but lately Mokap? C'mon, now possibly "Scab" ?

Id be all okay with this new guy if he had a decent enough name but there you go

scab could just be a codename like ketchup and mustard was for cyrax and sektor in mk3. Plus with all these complaints about his name they will probaly change it. As for skabs looks he is ery cool IMO

For now, i'm gonna have to say skab looks pretty tight. Its possible that he could be a warrior working for the DK, or maybe another oni from the neatherealm.

I think he looks awesome as hell. I don't really mind his name being Skab, not great but it could be worse. I think there is a lot that will be done with this guy.
