So, they picked a palette swap male ninja without a storyline over a palette swap female ninja (who could have another aspect) with a potential storyline? As Khameleon fan, I'm frustrated, but not surprised.

I really want her in, but now I'm hopeless. It seems that I'll have to create her (which isn't the same thing because her storyline will remain without a conclusion).

Four locked characters sounds enough for me. Even though I don't care for Meat and I'm not excited about play as the main boss. I also hope that those two KaK spots doen't mean that we can only crate two characters.

I see this as almost being certain Khameleon is in, I didn't think Chameleon had a snowballs chance in hell of making it in, but he did.

Did you notice that Taven, Daegon, Blaze and Meat were actually shown how they would like on the select screen before and now they're locked? Maybe half of the cast would be locked in the definite final version, because I don't think that all of them would be unlocked in the beginning. Did the OXM Magazine say anything about Meat & Blaze being locked? No, they were probably lying.

Am i the only one that thinks the idea of having all the characters lumped together is freakin lame.It looks like a special edition of king of fighters.What happend to the original idea of the rotating select screen.I really hope this is going to be tweaked until the last possible minute.This is the biggest,And baddest Mk please God do not let this be even close to the final version.

This select screen looks better than the previous one. Sektor's model doesn't look great though. Either way the backgrounds are no clues, they are clearly placeholders as every character will probably have a different background picture (you can see that already in Hotaru, Kira, Ashrah, Goro and Sareena). Locking Meat is kind of surprising but he never had a storyline so he's probably in just for completeness sake (and because people complain about getting all characters, even ones that don't even have a storyline like Hornbuckle or whatever his name is).

I think it looks like a piece of shit. Chameleon looks like a mix of Ermac, Sub-Zero and Scorpion models(Just like they did with Kahn in MKD, a mix of Onaga and Havik.) They better make the select screen better since it look worse now.

Whats wrong with two KAK spaces? One from memory card 1 and one for memory card 2. You aren't going to have your friends profile on yours are you.

this new screen looks ok. i prefered the old KAK space but now it looks like there will be a KAK space for P1 and P2. Chameleon looks not bad and i still think that Khameleon is hiding behind Kiras space cause Cinder did say the "Khameleons tend to hide" or somethin like that.

I Reckon Blue KAK is Male and Red KAK is Female.

Some guy on the midway forums noticed summat weird.

On the question mark page of the mka site there is a face that looks like the chameleon we have seen today.

Chameleon looks awesome, though his mask does heavily resemble Sub-Zero's (Seems to lack the nozzles that stick out of Sub-Zero's.). It's interesting that he seems to be wearing a headband and has a pale skin tone too.

Khameleon fans shouldn't be too worried. It's still plausible that she's in this, because this obviously isn't the final select screen (So everyone who hates it can calm down a bit.). The character is probably still under development, which might explain why she's absent from the screen.

I don't understand all this hate for Meat on the boards, either. I think it'd be badass if he's the sub-boss (The lock on his icon might indicate that.). We only know what his face looks like - who knows how big he really is or what he looks like overall. I'm really interested in knowing what styles they'll be giving him.

Yeah.. I agree you all complain tooooo much! Id rather take this preview of an unfinished select screen than no preview of it all.. its obvious that its not finished so dont get your panties in a knot...

As for Chameleon... I think he looks rad... Who cares if he looks like the other ninjas... Hes suppost to be Palletswappy.. hes chameleon after all.. Personally I like the idea of him bein a mishmash of all the other ninjas... But it would be cool if he was reptilian underneath.

My one complaint is that they already showed whos underneath the locked icons... Id rather not known who was there and be supprised once the game comes out... Oh well.. im sure Boon and Co. have a few tricks up their sleeve still....

My Guess with Khamelon is that one of the Kak spaces will be her, they just doubled up the Kak icons on this beta screen to keep it looking complete. Once she's ready for display I imagine Chamelon and Khamleon will put in place were the Kak icons are now and the Kak icon will go back to being inbetween all the ninjas.

Since Chamel...you know what, I'm not going to call him Chameleon anymore. We already have a Khameleon. His name is Fuckface now....

Anyway...since Fuckface appears to be a mismatch of the male ninjas again, maybe this means they're not going to bother giving him a story. Which would mean he would still be a non-canon character.
That would be good news in my book. If nothing else though, I hope he's not a Saurian at least.

Hopefully they are just saving Khameleon's appearence for last and will reveal it eventually. 'Cause for them to put Fuckface in and not her is just nine kinds of wrong.
