Cinder Posts New Render and Concept Art from MK Shaolin Monks!

Even though Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks has been out for a couple of months, everyone's favorite Midway Boards moderator, Cinder, has still been releasing artwork. This time, he has given us two different pieces of art from MK: Shaolin Monks. The first piece is a render featuring a fight between longtime MK fan favorites Sonya Blade and Kitana. The other piece is a concept art drawing of that mysterious hidden Lin Kuei assassin, Smoke!

Incredible! Amazing! The first pic almost makes me like MKSM!!! Well no, but still!!! Kitana's face is gonna be 2 metres behind her body in less than half a second.

Yeah, Kitana would lose...if she wasn't blocking. It looks pretty obvious to me that she's about to throw off sonya's leg with her wrist. So nyah.

I still can't get over Sonya's ginormous tits, and her hawk nose. Looks like Midway is trying to put out any sort of news related image to keep the community going...

I like the MKOutworld update better.

No doubt the first render is amazing, but I wish they had made the fans and Kitanas face better looking, she looks crossed eyed with papers on her hands.

I hate how they tried too hard to make the characters look human-realistic, most ended up looking kind of bad (Kung Laos, Liu Kangs, and Sonyas faces on their main renders, Kitanas on this pic, etc).

Either way, that render rocks.

That pic is awesome. What does "render" mean these days? That pic looks at least partially painted.

To me it looks like Kitana is looking to the left of Sonya, which is a bit odd, but otherwise it's tops.

I havent played SM yet, so I had no idea what Smoke looked like. Basically, he looks like crap, I thought they would at least TRY and give him an original look. The only thing that appeals to me is his eyes.
Sonya vs Kitana looks awesome.

Smoke did have a somewhat original look in the game. That's just concept art.

He wasnt gray anymore.He was black and sky blue. And he had dragon decorations on his "vest".

What bugs me is that we STILL don't know what Smoke was doing in MK2.

B'cause we need to look our best during a fight, right? I mean... We all know that when you're punched in the nose, you have to keep a straight face, or else you'll look like, well, you're getting punched in the nose.

You have a point, however looking crossed eye has nothing to do with the fighting of this pic, unless Kitana was actually punched or kicked by Sonya or someone else before the fly kick....so yeah, maybe you are right. She was beaten up and thats why she looks like that.

And considering that Sonya has very strong legs, base on the render, she could very easily breakthrough Kitana's wrist and kick her dead in the face, but also Kitana does have a free hand, so she could strike Sonya down, I put like this, IMO both of them look wide open for attack on one another in that picture.

It'll take more than this to get me to buy SM. I've got MKD which is good enough and SM sounds complete balls. Maybe £4.99 somewhere for it would be enoguh
