I think MKA has been weak for clan development. Folks don't seem as interested when compared to MKD. Not necessarily because MKD is a better game but more because it was the first of it's kind for MK. I hope MK8 comes good with new elements to keep people interested.

There are going to be soooo many people playing Halo3.
We can deny it but you wont see any new blood and you will see a lot of old blood put the game down for a while. I am not really into Halo, however I might be one of them that puts MK down

There's still clans on the forums, just not active on XBL apparently. I mean, everybody's gone.

KON: I believe Maverick is the only one still active (if he still is). I'm on PS2 unless action picks back up on Xbox, Omerta is playing other games, Puff and Nsobo haven't been around in a while.

OWG: Eazy is active. I'm not sure about MEsoFLY since he's going to PS2. I never saw Pig and I COULDN'T see BobbyBlaze, so I don't know if they still play.

I never did hear much from the other clans (OTD, CRD) even when more people were playing.

The only reason i ask is cause i have been on the ps2 boards and they have lots of clan stuff it seems. I know OWG is here but we aren't as tight it seems.

Also there isn't really any other clans that compete. I mean Mav is banned and nobody else even plays this game.

When i get to ps2 it will get better. I will still be on xbox. I just borrowed my buds ps2. so i am not going anywhere.

The rest you see are not taken seriously. Especially the ones you'll see in the lobby when you go online on PS2.

But yeah Quest lol I totally see what you're saying, MKA has been dead for hte most part anyway and died down months ago. With Halo 3 coming out, SSBB and UMK3 for the DS that'll only increase.

You think GTA is overrated? Really?

I mean, I personally don't like Halo because I'm not a big fan of console FPS's. I don't play a lot of FPS's, but I always like them a lot better on PC. To me, there are better ones out there than Halo. But Halo came out early for Xbox (Live) and got people hooked. Kind of the same thing with PS2. More people got it first, so they developed a soft spot for it even if there was a superior out there.

So, I guess, in a way I can see Halo being overrated...... But GTA? Somebody must explain this to me because I find it to be one the best games ever made and haven't really heard anybody talk down about it before.

Its all opinion man, if people don't like it then let it be, there is stuff not everyone can change.

Personally I don't think GTA is THAT bad game, I just get bored out of it sometimes because of the fact that you don't really do much besides missions and some repetitive stuff...

Yeah it gets boring sometimes doing absolutely anything you want in a videogame all the time. I hate how all you can do in that game is (for example)......

- Mug any and every pedestrian (thousands) with any of a plethra of weapons.

- Jack any of 100 unique vehicles, including sports cars, pickup trucks, sports bikes, choppers, airliners, cropdusters, jets, speedboats, ATV's, and a jet-pack (if you don't destroy them with any of a plethra of weapons).

- Take said vehicle and travel by land, air, water, or foot to absolutely anywhere on realistic-scaled, huge (HUGE) map at any time.

- Perform any crime you can think of and evade the police who increase in number and Authority the more heinous your act.

- Play the role of a Taxi Driver, Fire Fighter, Police Officer, Pilot, or anything else and act accordingly (or revert back to fucking things up)

- Build a rep, work out (or not), eat, tat yourself up, court a woman, etc.

I guess I'll stop there. I guess you don't have to like it. But to say it's overrated or repetitive, seems a little absurd. I mean, how can a game that has arguably THE greatest amount of freedom in every aspect be a "repetitive" game? If GTA: SA is too repetitive for you..... ?

Yes I do honestly, it gets boring after 10 minutes to me. There's no online play and personally Saints Row is better IMO. It's online meaning instant higher replay value, you can KAK which is hot. I created myself, my friends at my friends houses Saint's Row for the 360. But the game is virtually the same concept it's just online with a KAK mode.

I'm not too fond of Halo either but at least to me IMO that has "some action" to it, GTA has absolutely none if you ask me. Walk around killing people, mission after mission...I just find it boring.

I mean like lori said, it's all about personal view but I really don't understand the hype of GTA to be dead honest.

saints row is "ight" online has mad glitches.......

-getting stuck in the floor
-going through walls/floors

dont get me started on its lag....

-teleporting
-random cars poping up in your face

^and thats not even the tip of the iceberg

so over all i'd say it's online feel is o.k. not the biggest fan of going through floors to win (protect the pimp)

GTA-yes very overrated going around killing people....whoopdy doodle do. the graphics were far from great,the story in GTA:SA was horrible (come on now all those missions just to kill your mothers killer? not that worth it to me),and the gameplay gets repetitive after awhile. the only thing that makes people continue to play it is because of the none stop missions they throw at ya.

Halo 3 is going to be no different. Nothing's new about it. Graphics are the same, gameplay, etc. I was going to get it, but I think Killzone 2 will destroy it.

You guys talking about GTA are fucking insane. Sandbox is fucking awesome gameplay. The most freedom you can have in a game. What are you guys talking about "it's just going around killing people" ? Shit.

The reason the graphics are sub-par compared to other games is because of the massive amount of content. That's why I can't understand how anybody says it's "repetitive".

But the repetition in GTA is different. MKF likes online because differant people playing with differant styles but GTA there isno surprise.

Once you beat the game what else is there. But dude...the content is HUGE.

yes, my brother in law and i can go a long time just in one of the billiard halls shooting pool. it's quite entertaining! i didn't even know they were there until plenty after i got the game. i think you can play basketball too, but i've yet to do it.

Yeah, Eazy, there's baskeball. Hard as hell though. But yeah, there's all the different arcades and nintendos ALL over the entire HUGE map in houses and restaurants and such. There's the dance mini-games, races and time trials, all of the different civil-servant games (Taxi, Cop, Fireman, etc.), and shit-load more.

You can even just take any (or all) vehicles and attempt different stunts at different locations (thousands). There are SO many locations in the game that it almost doesn't end. Hell, I even enjoy trying to make it from each island via different routes (highway, back roads, off road) without crashing or trying to beat a time or whatever. I mean the map itself is so big and elaborate that the game is damn-near endless. Man, I'm about to start playing this game again.

You're talking about DDR? That shit aint dancing. That's just stepping side to side, front to back. If I wanted that I'd play the Cha-cha song.

Anyone remember a river rafting arcade game? Where you sit in a raft and you and a partner row your raft as fast as you can to get to the finish line. That shit is tiring. Especially on one of the levels where you have to run from a T-rex.
