COULD Ashrah be Raiden's DAUGHTER??!!

You'll probably be thinking how it could be possible, but it was a theory I suddenly had after seeing the thread on why we haven't seen her face.

Ashrah was born as Raidens daughter, only her mother was a human. the Elder Gods had forbade her birth for they thought it unnatural that a god be consorting in such ways with mortals.

To punish her birth, they bound Ashrahs powers and put a spell or curse of some sort on her. She had to prove her worth to them in order to gain them back.

Now Ashrah has grown up as a demon huntress, and has trained in order to deafeat the Oni and any other demons that could ever arise. Learning of her fathers death (if Raiden is dead in MKD), she comes to the Earth warriors to find out how her father dies and to help them in their quest.

She will discover that the Oni she has trained to defeat have also beened involved in recent events. Now would be her chance to prove herself and regain her powers. She would do it now in memory of her father, and find his killer or killers and punish them!

Your thoughts?

Great idea! And if Raiden does get killed, she has to prove herself not only to regain her powers but to be Raiden's heir.

Bravo again Tgrant, just like Tanya, This is an awesome Scenario. I could see this as a plausible direction to take Ashrah in. Very cool.

Yeah maybe when Raiden Dies, Ashrah goes to the Elder Gods, after winning the tournament and asks to have her powers restored so she can take over for him and continue to protect earth.

Thanks LadyRaiden and TomTaz. I like the idea of Ashrah taking his place. She could inherit her powers once again and Raidens also!

I was wonder if Ashrah is Raiden's daughter...who is/was her mother? Who could get Raiden to break the rule of not having 'relationships' with a mortal. After all he has been very reluctant until recently to break any rules set down by the Elder Gods, or is it this 'exile' of his daughter the reason why he never attempted to 'bend' the rules to protect Earthrealm even though the Elder Gods never seemed to enforce them.

I don't know to be honest. TomTaz asked the same thing. She could remain unknown as she could just be a normal human. Or maybe, her mother was someone special whom the Elder Gods didn't want any allegiance with. Ashrah could find out later on.

No problem, just wondering what you ideas were since my MK:C fan fiction has Rayden getting 'close' to a certain female and mortal godslayer. I was hoping to 'borrow' your ideas like I 'borrowed' my sig. grin

It's a pretty good idea tg, my theory it has to be that being a demon slayer ashrah is not aloud to see demons straight into her eyes becu that would probably leave her defenseless against a curse or sumthing. she has to be undercover if she's gonna kill demons. But this doesn't leave out the idea of her being raidens daughter

I guess you guys won't rest until all mk char are replaced by female clones. And for the record, I'll buy and dismantle midway myself, if I ever see a female drahmin and a bitch moloch chasing a girl scorpion.

This is suitable as a reason for her face being covered. Good idea, and your right it doesn't interfere with her being Raidens daughter.

Well just because It's a theory about bein Raiden's Daughter doesn't in anyway make her a clone of Raiden. Throughout the whole game she will not have Raiden's Powers or moves so even in this theory she is a unique individual and not a Raiden Clone.

Just because I made this theory on her being Raidens daughter does not mean she has to be a clone. Ashrah is a unique individual and can be just that with or without Raidens powers.

That depends...how old is Ashrah? In myth didn't dieties reach adulthood faster than mortals? For all we know she could be Sonya's daughter and that's the real reason Shao Kahn kept Sonya prisoner during MKII. (Don't kill me Queve, its only an example.)

Why not, it could also be the real reason why Rayden was willing to risk his immortality by going to that 2nd tournament. The MK storyline has had stranger twists.

Then again it is only an example, I am NOT saying that Rayden and Sonya had any sort of relationship or had a child together. I'm just saying its possible. Him having thousands of years experience, her being a blonde and a 'modern' woman. Both having jobs that prevents having meaningful relationships. wink
