Could be. According to the bios, Mileena did the same thing impersonating Kitana, so who knows. I have a sort of half-assed theory that has to do with the picture of the girl wearing green. Maybe it is Tanya in an alt. outfit, but Jade is playable and we just haven't seen her yet? Could be Boon and co. fucking with us, although I don't really believe that. Just a theory, though I do think (or at least hope) the woman in the pic was Jade.

I really doubt she is posing as Jade though. Sure it's confusing for us looking at screen shots, but come on...surely Sindel would be able to tell it was someone in disguise. That would be a pretty silly storyline.

You don't understand TemperaryUserName. He tells that "Jade" (the black chick with green costume) is Tanya in disguise, trying to decieve Sindel.

Personally I doubt it, because the green costume of Tanya is her alternate costume, and mustn't have relation with anything, only a different look (like Sub-Zero or Nightwolf)

Well techically, none of the MK4 endings are valid except for Scorpion's and Lui Kang's.

I doubt that Mileena is the only one being deceptive in the story line. They're not going to reveal everything about the story before the game comes out. For every one thing they tell us, there is about a hundred things they don't.

Not sure. I don't think they would have mentioned Jade posing as Tanya unless it were actually Tanya's bio.

I think the only way Tanya can impersonate Jade and fool Sindel at the same time is if she always wears a mask or can physically change what her face looks like. IGN did say that they were faithful allies, so Sindel would easily recognize if there was a change in Jade's persona.

That's assuming Jade and Sindel had met before Tanya took on her identity. We don't know if Jade and Sindel even came in contact within the events of MK3.

If Tanya Disguised herself as Jade, then introduced herself to sindel AS Jade, it could work. But let's hope that isn't the case, because Jade is awesome and I want her back. But I refuse to blindly believe she's back just because she is my favorite.

Hey its a interesting theory Temp and yes we dont know if Sindel ever met Jade but we know from the official MK4 comic book that Sindel has met Tanya, Ill bet she would be able to tell Jade from Tanya.

By the way you said the only valid endings are Scorpion's and Liu Kang's, dont forget Raiden and Kung Lao, possibly Fujin too. :).

I hope it is Jade too. But I think that the best theory is the Tanya posing as Jade one. The Dragon King, or whomever, captured Jade, threw her in a prison cell, and now Tanya can stand next to Sindel, disguised and unnoticed.

How heck can Jade deceive Sindel when she's not jade's twin.

You both raise good points, however neither female looks like the other. It may be possible for Tanya to disguise herself as Jade, but I agree with ultimateryu and don't think it's possible.

However, you are forgetting the magic that surrounds MK. Maybe some magic was invloved in Tanyas disguise, if she really is disguised. I'm not sure who would provide it, unless it is the Dragon King she is working for and he did it. With Mileena there is no need for magic as she is Kitanas twin, as long as she keeps the veil on. We may see a costume for Tanya where she looks how she should and another with her in disguise.

Like you Temp, I don't want this to be the case. however, consider this. Tanya could be impersonating Jade whilst Jade is off with Sindel. The people in Edenia may not know the real Jade is with Sindel, thus allowing Tanya to execute her plan, whatever it is. She could infiltrate the Edenian palace and its defences in this way. This gives us both Jade and Tanya as playable characters.

Either way, I want both girls in the game! I love them both! Jade is supposed to be playable anyone, so until Midway says otherwise, I believe she will be.

That could be a good idea! It's wierd that alot of people were slating Tanya origianlly, but she has got alot of people talking now and therefore has alot of potential! I can't wait to see what happens with her!

I don’t think that this will be so but you’ll never know in MK. It could just as easily be Shang Tsung Morphed into Jade. But I think this will mess up the gameplay. This will be too confusing if the character looks like Jade and the announcer says Jade but it’s really Tanya in disguise. I think this will never work.

Like a few poeple said this would be a really lame storyline and Sindel would be the dumbest person ever.

Im pretty sure Sindel knows how Jade looks. Unlike Kitana and Mileena, Tanya isn't Jade's clone or twin so she can't fool people.

This theory will certainely not happen.
