Part 1

Smoke was nowhere to be found since MK3, he disappeared into the shadows for quite some time. Now it is the time of the Dragon King's return, and Sektor becomes allies with the Dragon King and his army. Smoke was unprogrammed and he was in Japan, malfunctioned and unmobile. Sektor found him, and reprogrammed him to serve Sektor and his clan. Sektor appointed smoke as his general for the invasion of the earth warrior's home. The time came for invasion and smoke's spear attack was upgraded where he can shoot three at a time. His fighting abilities were more advanced and he was made much more agile and quick.

Story, Part 2

Sektors clan and Dragon King's army invaded the earth warriors home. They were all on the big battlefield, fighting against the earth's greatest warriors. Sektor,Smoke, and a few of Sektor's most skilled cyber-ninjas went to hunt down Sub-Zero and his Lin Kuei. Sektor and Sub-zero started fighting, sektor was stomping the hell out of him. Three of Sub-zeros henchmen attacked smoke, but he just speared them through their hearts. Sub-Zero was on his knees, and sektor was readying to use his missile attack. Smoke looked for a second at sub-zero and he started to realize he is his old friend, he teleports in front Sub-Zero and the missiles hit smoke shattering most of his Cybernetic exoskeleton off of him. His helmet was shattered. Smoke seemed to be finished. Sektors cyber ninjas were all defeated, and he was surrounded by sub-zeros ninjas, he teleported out of there.

Part 3

Sub-zero had repair specialists that could work on smoke. They stripped all of his parts off leaving his head and body left. Sub-zero used his dragon amulet to grant one wish, and that was to bring smoke's humanity back. Smoke was fully human again. They outfitted him with the latest ninja gear. He was back in a gray ninja outfit, not a robotic exoskeleton. Him and Sub-zero were ready to take on the Dragon King, and get revenge on Sektor for reprogramming smoke to serve him.
