@DP: Congratulations and welcome to the next generation! You ́re just in time as Tekken: DR Online will be released tomorrow (Thursday) on the PSN (Playstation Store) along with the brand new Firmware 2.00 that enables all new features!

And going online is probably the easiest thing you could do with your PS3. If you ́re using a router you can connect your console to the internet without any cables. Just let the PS3 scan the environment and it will find your personal access point which can be used without doubts.

The other possibility would be to just plug in an ordinary Ethernet cable at the back of your console and connect it to your router.

I ́d go for the second choice as cables are always "lag preventer".

No matter how you do it you can still put in your copy of MK: A and start playing online with it.

like malheur said just scan ur network. no need for cd's or something like that. it's very easy. make also sure u make an alternative US account to get access to the US playstation store. more games,demos, vids and trailers. (uncharted demo tomorrow ^^) the german playstation store just sucks. and don't worry about the PS2 backward compatibility. my PS3 can handle it, but i'm still playing PS2 games on my PS2. => PS3 60GB Version: 160 -200 Watt, PS2: 25-45 Watt and get motor storm. very funny online and offline. it's about 20 EUR on ebay... PS: i think MK2 is only available in the US playstation store

well i got heavenly sword, motor storm, resistance, darkness and ninja gaiden sigma. all quality games and i'm getting uncharted next month. next year killzone 2, GT, Metal gear solid and so on. good games coming for the PS3. only two 360 games that r interesting to me are bioshock and gears of war. and both are also out for PC. No need for an xbox 360.

hahaha... I'll probably end up getting one in the near future. But that won't be until they've dropped the price by 50%. I'm going to have to if I want to play you guys when MK8 is released! It'd be the ONLY reason just like my PS2.

Damnit, I tried to go online last night, but my PS3 couldn't connect to the network. Error:00000000 or something. Could not find my IP apparently.
I did some Googling and it seems like more ppl with ARCOR have this problem. I'll try again tomorrow.

BTW; I just bought McRae Dirt on Ebay

I will get Tekken tomorrow if I get online. Malheur, I'll tell you my PSN name via ICQ, allright? One more thing though: do I need a credit card to download games? I have ordered one, but it might take 1 or 2 more weeks untill I can use it.
