Hey guys. MKA is pretty cool. I haven't had much time to play it but so far I can say, it's the bomb!

KAK's are great (but I'm too lazy to create one). Sareena is too powerful and you're now going to get some losers who would play as Blaze or Moloch.

However, the bottomline is, every battle is sweet!

Yeah.. MKA is great and stuff but I think rank whores are going to be enhanced a great deal. First of all, the whole KAK thing is really stupid. I thought they wanted to make the game more balanced, yet you're allowed to create a character that has all the moves in the world. The idea is great, but for online gameplay, I'd say it's BS!

Secondly, the bosses. I have no idea why some of the bosses are included in online play. It's totally crazy. You can't throw most of them and from my experience of those cheap PS2 players, we're all in for a treat. I guess the best thing would be to choose Sareena whenever they result to cheap tactics.

And finally, for those of you who like to fight (like Finley from WWE), you are truly going to love the experience. It almost makes MKD look static. Aerial battle is like WOW! and the introduction of parries and wakeups have greatly enhanced gameplay. You have over 60 characters to choose from (like you don't already know this) but I must say some of then are almost a carbon copy of others in terms of moves i.e. Mavado and Kabal, MKD Lui Kang and Reptile, Sonya Blade now plays like Kobra and much more. However, you have original characters in Mokap, Kano, Hotaru, Noob and plenty more.

It's claled copy and pasting or switching styles. Remember that they only have to each now so there were bound to be people playing other characters.

And about Sonya and Kobra, it's the other way around. Sonya got back what was rightfully hers.

HJS, I hope they corrected that bug; in case they didn't,
you can't ask everybody to buy a new TV.

I have a TV PCI card in Munich, so I can play on 60Hz but with the extra lag of signal decoding by the computer. At home I have a very old TV that only supports 50 Hz.
A new TV costs 150 Euro (approx. Dollar) and I am not going to spend that unless necessary.

I don't have a problem with people that can't buy NTSC tv.

People who play on 50 and then cry about people playing on 60 is what annoys me.

Guys, quite this BS about 50/60Hz, how often do I have to tell you that when you play online it has no effect!! I can and have played on both framerates, offline it does matter, online it doesn't. You can ask Gala, he will tell ya the same thing. He mostly plays on 50Hz and is still being called a speedcheat!

Anyway, since the housewarming party is cancelled for friday, I'll guess I'll be online this friday night as well. Hope to see lots of you!

I'm with HJS and Fabio on the 50/60 Hz debate - I always used to play MKD on 60 Hz and my combos with N/S were a piece of cake to pull off. If I ever played it on 50 by mistake and couldn't be bothered to reset the console then the combos timing would be fucked up e.g. Smokes' throw into Ninja Stars would always miss.

I'll be playing MKA on 60 Hz so we'll see if anyone accuses me of speed-cheating

Do you think it will make a difference in Motor Kombat too? That would be bad... (well not for me but anyone I'm racing on 50! LOL)

What are you talking about, I always play on 50hrz and I've never had any problems with the timing. I switched it once to 60hrz but I never tried to play and see if there's any difference cause the colours were funny and changed it back.

Those who did respond to me (most of you) all gave the SAME choice. So I say let's stick to that option. I am not going to reveal it here, since there seems to be a TAG-stealer on the server already. Damn, I don't have the game yet, but I just hope I am not that popular and can choose my old accounts!

okay guys, I got my copy of the game now, and it seems like they stole our Tags too. DELPREV is already taken, so is HADOKEN and HARLEY

First I thought maybe it is because these accounts already exist on MKD, and are linked somehow to MKA. But this isn't the case, cause I created an practice account which I had on MKD as well, and now on MKA also!!! stats: 6-0 ,ranked 10th. (That's hilarious, cause I fought really really bad!!! LOL)

So, all in all it turns out that somebody really stole (almost) all the tags known on this forum, and I already have an idea who it was!!!

Somehow this game feels a bit weird, think I'll need a lot of time to adjust to it, but I like the wake up and parry game!!!

I can't believe that someone wants to be us so bad?! It's quite flattering really!

Just had a couple of fights online, it's not MKD that's for sure. Gonna take a little bit of getting used to. It's quite funny tho, everyone seems to walk up and try to parry and you often end up doing it at the same time. Can't get used to air combat yet but I will.

I'm liking it so far. Kenshis' high low mix up combo is ace. Noob is a total monster, found a great 50% almost immediately (I haven't read HJS combos yet, wanted to find some myself)
