DCs effect of positive responses

I've been hearing a lot of really positive feedback on the game.

What I wanna know is would the game have gotten better feedback if it didn't feature the DCU characters and was rated M for mature?

Nah, I actually like the T rating. It's not that I wouldn't want scorpion to rip superman's head off, but I think that the t rating can work with mortal kombat games.

That's not true, quit generalizing. I have a love for the story of MK as well as the blood. Both the story and fatals were crap, point blank. The story wasen't as "deep" as most of you were hoping. Also the endings were five seconds long? You could tell they were done at the last minute. Open your eyes and just quit making excuses for the MK team's lousy work.

False. I loved the DC story. The MK side was a little more lame IMO. I love this new fighting engine, which is the reason most people play fighting games.

You're not making any sense and I didn't yell. I was just trying to let all of you who like the game know that just because someone may hate it dosen't mean they should be swept under the rug or that their opinion shouldn't be voiced. I'll voice my opinion to the end of time, if you guys were really mature then you wouldn't get all pissy when someone states they hate the game.

I was generalizing because I am not in the mood to list names of people who should not be counted. Rather stupid idea, methinks.

I agree that the opinions should not be swept under the rug as well. I still believe that the majority fall under my description, as there is way too much evidence to prove it right on this very site.

Honestly, I'm sick of being told i'm just trying to "get a rise" out of people or that i'm just a gore lover all because I don't like the game. All of us that don't like the game should be able to freely post our opinions without getting attacked. Some of the "fans" act like if you hate the game and say it that you're a troll. Where is it in the terms and conditions of this site that it states "you must love MKVSDCU"?.

You're damn right blood and gore is a big part of MK, its been apart of it for sixteen years and is what made the series a "series". So of course alot of fans will be angry over that and they should. But I would be able to cope with the lack of blood and gore IF the story and endings were really deep...they weren't, just rushed shit that even I, a guy who dosen't know squat about DC, could have came up with.

A bloodless MK game can be good...only if it has an actual story that is thought out and is intriguing which MKVSDC did NOT have.

I feel like some of the skimming pleasantries about gameplay details might've still be there, but it's hard to imagine the right people paying quite as much attention without the magnet of the DC name.

Frankly, I'm still surprised it's reviewing as well as it is!
