I want Johnny Cage back. He has cool moves, cool Fatalities, a good fighter, and he is comic relief. Johnny Cage is and always will be awesome.

I also hope Johnny Cage NEVER comes back, but its because of his storyline. I hate it.

Hmmmm... that's strange! I didn't know that Johnny Cage himself frequents the message boards. Perhaps the reason that direct (and inappropriate for these boards) insult feels hollow is because, the dude ain't real kid!

Joking is all good doode and we all do it while voicing our legitimite opinions on a particular subject. However, such a legitimite opinion can be considered useless tripe when expressed in such insulting tones, in reference to what xcarnagex mentioned. No matter how much "in jest" it was intentioned to be.

Johnny cage is just your average MK fighter to me, but they need to give him a new and better story. Personally, i think his story sucks, and he just keeps on making movies and movies.....ahem...welcome to the new world. In my opinion, i would want him to die, or have a more developed story. I dont really mind him being in MK though.

Actually I noticed several people using the term "gay" in a derogatory manner. It can be bothersome, since I'm gay but I don't care enough to tell some 12 year old on the net what to say and not say. :)

Up untill MK:DA I really didnt care for Johnny Cage but seeing him in DA, fighting in the classic jeet kun do style really made him seem alot better in my eyes, if they give him a better story and keep the jeet kun do, then i would love to see him back again, thanx for your time:D

I actually think Johnny should've stayed dead after MK2. I'd rather never see him in another MK game again. He's not even "cool" or "hot".

I think being able to do the splits and punch someone in the wank tanks is pretty cool. As for the whole `gay` debacle- just because it isn't `wrong` to be gay doesn't mean you can't use it as an insult. Wanker is another insult- most people are wankers and there's nothing wrong with it- but it's still an insult. If you call someone a shit you aren't actually saying that they are literally a lump of poo. I could go on.

The term `tolerance` annoys me- it implys that there actually is something irritating or horrible about the thing you are "tolerating". Ho hum.

I can respect your dislike to the character, I'm not a fan of him either, but dude, no need to express yourself in such way. How can he be gay for doing those special moves??? And the use of the word gay as an insult is really childish. Sorry, don’t want to start a war, but that’s true.

Anyway, I think Cage won’t return in MkD, but still, he is a character with potential, excellent fatalities and amazing special moves. A true original with a bad story. That’s it. But people, there are so many worst characters with same stories that really need to go too, like Scorpion.

Johnny Cage is great, I hope he returns, but I don’t think he will.

I dont care about Cage, but I only have to say he is by far, 10000x better then other characters.

His ending in MKDA hints that he will be around, because he was "tired of lame storylines in which he died and was resurrected". MKD definately needs him, but not as an actor, but a serious warrior.

I AGREE! People should stop this shit about J. Cage. He is one awesome character, just needs a new story like so many other do!!!

I'm not a Cgae fan, but what you said Genosis609 was harsh! If he does die again, he should stay dead. His story needs a good change as it's gotten really predictable and boring that's all. All the hate for some characters needs to stop!

Yes, Scorpion like Cage has lost all originality in his story, it has been the same since Mk1, to “avenge his dead family” and “murder the murderer” Really boring, and unlike Cage, he has died like 3 times! People should stop saying Cage died more then once, when he actually never even died!

It was hinted by the team that his death was just a movie called “The Death of Johnny cage”, they never wanted to kill him, and even if he did die, he just died ONCE.

Even though I think he wont return in MKD, I think he should, but with a totally improved story. He has lots of potential, he is a classic, Mk needs him.

I do agree his story was bad in MKDA (except his ending, it was cool and funny). I wouldn’t mind if he keeps being an actor and have all that Hollywood related stuff, but he MUST have a change. Something different.

Besides, who says his story has been the same thing related to movies? Clearly, in MK Trilogy and Mk4 his bio is very different from the first 2 games.

Cage is simply a strong character in the story, Mk wouldn’t feel right without him. He is one of the Top 10 originals from the first game that make Mk be Mk. A very strong fan favorite that needs to stay along side the main originals and fight in the tournaments.

I do agree Scorpion and Sub-Zero are a must. But haven’t you ever noticed Scorpions story is just as lame and boring as Cage now???? I mean, the same old thing since Mk1:

Kill the murder of his poor family to rest in peace...but guess what, he never kills him, actually, he gets killed all the time and has been chasing the "killer" since the beginning.

People complain about resurrecting dead characters and lame stories, but they try to ignore the fact Scorpion is on the same way.

Queve, i bang the tin drum hard! excellent analysis! I'm a Cage fan , been one since mk1. I feel his story is lame now and needs some innovation SERIOUSLY! but he can't die again, it wouldn't make sense. I think he'll be there and hopefully there will be a gothic approach to all their stories. Like the evil dead movies!
