just wanted to know if u think it would be a good idea and when u get into a weapon struggle it will be a race to see who can imput the buttons fastest.

That's a fairly cool idea...if you're thinking along the lines of Soul Calibur, where if you clashed, then you had to press a strike button and it ends up being a 'rock paper scissors' kind of thing, where the right move wins you the struggle, then yeah, that's cool. Or if you're talking about the type of weapon struggle from Soul Edge/Blade, where you had to jam on buttons to either knock your opponent away or get in a free hit, then yeah that would be a cool idea too.

i think what he means more along the lines of the samurai shodown series.
the weapon struggle worked very well in ss, so i wouldnt see a problem with it being in mkd

Yeah it would be cool to see weapon struggles but I dont want them to be so Soul Calibur reminiscent cuz then it wont fit in the MK:D atmosphere so if pulled off correctly to fit in with MK:D's atmosphere, then would be very cool.

Yes, I think MKD should try to make weapon kombat more realistic. In MKDA it wasn't realistic at all. I haven't played any other fighting games that use weapons, so I don't really know what video game systems are capable of in terms of weapon fighting. I just hope it's more dynamic and fast-paced in MKD thanit was in MKDA; hopefully the tweaks they make on the fighting engine will allow a greater level of realism.

I love the idea. I posted something like this about a year back. I personally like the rock-paper-scissors...where you have to put in certain combinations, this way, it's more strategic. But, however they implement it, it would certainly make the weapon system a little more realistic.
