i for one do not , i wish and hope that the fatalities will be more real this time i dont want to see heads poping off when u stomp on someone(sonya) and i dont want to see neck straching(quan chi)there are loads more lol, this is just my opinion though. as an example if you remember reptiles neck twist move in mk4 that would be a great fatality its simple but still great ! i think lol just an example lol
I don't think Sonya's was supposed to have comedy in it. Maybe i'm wrong. I don't think Quan Chi's was supposed to have comedy in it either, it just turned out that way because it was so dumb it made it funny. But no, I don't want any comedy in Fatalities. Fatalities should be bloody and brutal, maybe even slow and painful.

Now you know that no one is gonna say they wanna see comedy in this game period.I highly doubt there will be any at all,but friendships would be a welcome addition back in MK.Fatality wise,no way no how do I wanna see comedy. It would ruin it for me (like quan chis neck stretch)yeesh that killed it.let's see some stuff like the rip leg and beat em with it types,or the hat slice down the middle of your body types. You know....the hardcore eye poppin like DAAAAAMMMMMMMM did you see that shit?

How in the world is rippin off someones leg and beating them to death with it funny?I thought it was the worse humiliating way to finish someone. Now me beating you then stretching your neck is like wtf was that?

WTF comedi in mk

Quan chi's neck stretch fatality was beyond horrible in DA. I prefer his leg rip rather than that. I would like MK to not have that much comedy in it, if any. Keep it serious.

Oh God! LOL!!!
Quan Chi's MK4 fatality was so funny I damn near peed om my self when I first saw it. But I feel it was also very brutal. I feel if the fataility is as funny as it is brutal, then that should be the ONLY reason to have it in the game.
Now Kabal's fatality in MK3 was a little funny, but mostly stupid! That's the kind of fatality MK6 can do without.

Comedy was used in the Friendships to lighten up the dark tone of Mortal Kombat. I myself don't like comedy in the Fatality feature in Mortal Kombat. Comedy should be used in some other shape or form in this game, if there was any comedy to start with.. This game looks to be very dark and twisted just like how Mortal Kombat is intended to be.

they should make them longer and more brutal.. no more funny stuff.. it just doesn't fit... I wish they could do something like the moves in Def Jam Vendetta were you actually could 'feel' the pain when you did the finishing move...

OMG, heads popping off does not sound like comedy at all.
The neck thing maybe, but at least it was different from the rest.
As for comedy in fatalities, I actually like some, and others I dont. Its not like they do VERY stupid stuff (assuming we are all talking about MKDA).
There was more stupid comedy in Mk2 and Mk3/Trilogy that I hated:
Kitanas MKU Fatality was horrible! That giant head thing!
Kabals Mk3 respirator was a bit better but still stupid.
Mileena eats sais/nails and spits them? Stupid.
But the fun comedy:
Sindels hair was awesome.
Jade turns into a sweet deadly kitty.
Kitana into a PERVERT rabbit.
Kabals Face fatality was awesome.

There needs to be some comedy, but not comedy that makes the Fatalitiy seem fake and unreall As mentioned, Quans Leg Beat was both comedic and brutal and that's how the Fatalities should be. All brutal is also good. If they are all comedy, I think that ruins them. A good mix of them both is what is needed.

all i want is the fatalities to be more down to earth and more beliveable like sub zero you can not pull someones whole bloody skeleton out maybe a piece of the spine itself ! but not the whole body for crying out loud ! lol

But people cant take brains or organs out.
Send toxic mist.
Fire balls.
The point here is, Fatalities need to stay "unrealistic" with the magic touch Mk has.
Just imagine all of them realistic, you would know what would happen, it would take the fun out of the game like it did in MKDA with some like:
Li Mei.
Drahmin.
Bo Rai Cho.
Scorpion.
Kano.
They were "realistic" in a way, no magic in them.

i dont mind the flame kiss ect but just the really OUT THERE !! ones lol that spoil it for me abit like the whole spine rip ect
I don't mean to put words in your mouth, mileena_sai, but I'm going to assume that by "realistic", you really mean "believable". If you do, I really agree. In any event, that's how I feel about the fatalities, at least. Maybe you also want fatalities to be more down to earth in general, and while I personally wouldn't mind that, I'm not really bothered by the current 'spectacularness' of the fatalities.
There's really nothing about MK that's *realistic*, but things can still be more or less believable, or plausible within the world of the MK games. Kano ripping someone's heart out is very much acceptable - despite it being impossible in real life. (how do you drive your hand through someone's sternum?) Liu Kang summoning arcade cabinets, or Mileena spitting nails isn't. I'd say it's partly becuase it's just ridiculous, but also because there's nothing in the story that suggests that either character should be capable of such feats.
Bah, guess I'm overanalyzing pointless things as usual... :P
As far as humour/comedy in fatalites go, I'd say it's a mixed bag. Quan Chi's Leg Rip fatality was really funny, and obviously meant to be. But it was still brutal and graphic, not to mention very much in-character. Simply put, it works. In MK3 though, I feel the MK team tried too hard with novelty and humour with the fatalities, and I think the end result, for the most part, was horrible.
As far as fatalities in MKD go, if anything I'm hoping they're more thought out than the MKDA fatalities were. Their major flaw was that they felt very rushed (Mavado's apparent flight ability comes to mind) and generally quite poorly realized. If the fatalites in MKD are more humourous, I don't think I'll mind, as long as they're all decently implemented and fitting for their respective characters. :)

Try to leave the comdey out of the actual game. The weird stuff u could unlock in the krypt is a good example of comedic things u could but in, but they dont have anything to do with the game itself. The actaul game should have a serious feel to it.
