If you don't like it, don't use it and only play against the computer or your friends when they come over. I think its a great OPTION.

online crap? Dude have you played a onlne game before? I have it is a great feeling fighting people from all around the world. Also you can fight against MK masters instead of your friends. Online gaming = unlimited replay value. Mortal Kombat 6 willl 100x better with online play.

Does anyone know if were gonna need the HDD to play MKD online?

Even if we don't having the HDD can't hurt and might be used help in case there is any updates needed down the road and for extras such as voice overs. Note: Already have my PS2 HDD preordered and paid.

online play, maybe that will bring back some of the arcade feel of challenging someone you don't know.

Will there be a scorecard on how many times Sektor101 gets beaten? Maybe we can start a dead pool or, in this case, a "live" pool. That could be a huge pot for whoever guesses which match he will make it through.

online play will bring back what Boon was saying about the arcades, how fighting games in arcades were popular due to the fact you could test out your skills against strangers and such...

My only concern was if online would sacrifice memory that could have been used for more content, but after thinking about it some more, this whole online thing will be the best thing about MK Deception.

If you thik about it now that arcades are dead, online gameplay wont make you feel the good old 90s arcade feel, (too bad if you missed out on it by the way), but it will be even better, because you can compete, say if youre in Canada, from people all around the world, even say Latin America, Africa, or Asia; It just wont be a Canadian exclusive. Definetly something good to look forward too.

I think online play like everything has good and bad points. It will be good for some and not for othes. Some people might not have access to online play, so therefore its bad for them. I dont like the idea personally, but they wouldnt have thot of it if it wasnt going to appeal to a lot of people.

well.. should they just make 2 diff versions like unreal 2k4 is doing? one with online.. and one without... hmm
