It would be good. Especially if you wanted to test fatalities on Sindel. Damn she has a nasty scream.

You could ask about practice mode.
An option that let's you tell the computer what move or combo to do over and over.
So you learn how to break combos better.
Maybe have a recording mode, where you do something with player 2, then press play and the computer does it.
It's a feature I like to have in practice mode.

Forgive me for not understanding you guys but... what exactly do you mean by One Player Versus Mode?
Theres already a versus mode: Player 1 + Player 2
Then theres fighting online.
Then theres Single player Kombat (Story)
What's one player versus mode?

The one player VS mode is VS mode but with only one human player.
The opponent is the computer.
It's like you choose your guy, then you choose your opponent and fight in VS mode.

What a great topic idea man, I would love it very much if MK:D has a one player vs. mode instead of having to go through the arcade mode. It'd be fresh and always fun.

Yeah, but practice mode is NOT this. The opponent didn't fight back in Deadly Alliance (or in 4, if I'm not mistaken) and the match should end.

The opponent fought back in mk4, but not in deadly alliance.
they had the idea in mk4, it was one the things i complained about in deadly alliance that they didnt have, i hope they put it into deception, its a very good idea

I want this in every fighting game. It's in bloody roar and smackdown (if you count that as a fighting game). Both these have a `watch` mode too (CPU vs CPU where you choose characters and arena), which is of less use, but still a nice extra.
Such an easy thing to implement, and would make the game better. Practice mode you can do choose your opponent in, but there's no knockout, no victory. I really don't understand why mk, tekken, vf et al don't have such a mode in.

Yes, I know. I'm not completely sure why no one adds it in fighting games. It would increase replay value ten-fold.
Also, I've yet to receive a reply from Midway. Unfortunately, Midway probably won't even respond, yet alone take into consideration.

Well, I haven't gotten any luck by myself, so I'm editing this for all of you to help me out.

No one's complained about this feature yet, so I'm counting on everyone else to help me out. This feature could make Deception of the most replayable games to date, so please, pitch in and send an e-mail asking for this feature.

Since most other good fighting game in existence has some sort of 1 player versus mode, its time MK made another step forward to catch up with everyone else.
I'm all for a 1 player versus mode. If this is a petition, then consider it signed.

Why welcome back shang_heihachi. Haven't seen you here in a while.
I don't know if this would exactly be a petition, but I've sent two e-mails to Midway about this. I've yet to get a response from either. It always seems Midway is one step behind (actually, more like several) in the fighting game chronicles.

I think it is uneeded and stupid. If we have arcade, than what is the point? What fun is fighting the computer for no reason? You might aswell just fight the computer in arcade and get some koins for it. If you really like fighting for no reason than ask for a practice mode.
