dude in case you havent noticed mileena was in mk2 and li mei was a new charecter in mkda so limei is a rip off of mileena not the othe way around

And Ermac is a Rip-off of Sub-Zero? Because in one pic, appears the face of Sub-Zero in the name of Ermac.... I'm tired of all these stupidities.

So that if they were thinking about Mileena, until the end they did not give the Sais? So that initially, they had given the Kamas him that finally used Nitara.

That Mileena makes the Liu He Ba Fa? This not yet means nothing, since perfectly in the end it could not use this style of fight, or perhaps if it uses it, so that it is the best style to combine it with the Sais.

If he is really rip-off of Mileena, we will know it when we play the MKDeception and pruned to compare it, but we don't "kill" before time, because surely in the MKDeception the only similarity that it has among them, is that both are women.

Look, my point is, the MK team is making Mileena and Li Mei too similar. At this point, it looks likely that, gameplay-wise, Mileena will end up playing the same as Li Mei did, much like Noob played like Scorpion, and Sektor played like Cyrax, in MKTE. It's just the overall sense of unoriginality that, IMO, is cheapening both characters.

Remember how in some of the trailers for MKDA, some characters had different styles than the ones they ended up with? I hope that holds true for Mileena in this case, and they decide to give her a different style.

More than likely when they develop a new character, they use a character they already had and modify that. cheaper and you know it works.

details will worked out later. Plus if they don;t use the character, they would have wasted more time when they start from scratch.

Dude, in case oyu haven't noticed he was referring to the fighting style. Li Mei used it in MK5, so how is she ripping off Mileena in MK6?

I hope that she does use those fighting styles. My bet is the next fighting style will bea really fast one.

I guess compaling about all the ninjas in MK3 being rip off is getting boring eh. Lots of characters are similar to one another. Tanya was similar to kitana and mileena, kung lao is simialr to liu kang. Scorp an sub zero are similar. Like someone said those are just beta version screen shots. Just becuase mileena is using one of li mei's styles doesn't mean they are a rip off of one another. Geez they had noob saibot in mind when they created reiko. he was even in the early versions of the game instead of reiko. Quit whining about rip offs. We would probably have a lot less characters if it wasn't for that. They each eventually turn out to be unique in their own way. Just like some of the characters created by people on this site. Some are based on other things.

I never liked Li Mei or Tanya, infact I really didn't care much for female fighters in MK, except for Sindel, she was cool.

I don't have any doubt that they will. In that same trailer Sub-Zero had Pi Gua which is Scorpion's style (there's no logical reason why he would have this style seeing that Scorpion is in the game.) So I think all of those fights were just test fights. It is far to early for anything to be set in stone at this point. It is more than likely that Mileena will end up with different fighting styles, except for the Sai.

There is no damn way Mileena is a ripoff of Li Mei, Mileena came out way before Li Mei was even a thought so theres no way. Ne was i dont think that Mileena will have Liu He Ba Fa as her style, i think they r just using that for now ecause they arent dont with all the motion capturing for her new style, well atleast i really hope because Liu He Ba Fa was a horrible style and that could make Mileena horrible. I love Mileena and i want her to be good

Don't worry because Mileena and Li Mei are completely seperate characters. Li Mei just used the Sais, which are apparently "copyrighted" by law to be Mileena's only, when if violated you are officially a ripoff. Same with Kabal and the Hookswords.

Man, you have a good habit of saving me a lot of typing. It would have taken me at least three paragraphs to say that.

Yeah yeah, all I read is:

One side: Mileena is ripping-off Li Mei
Other Side: NO!, Li Mei rips off Mileena

The main thing is: Mileena WAS introduced EARLIER in the series, so Li Mei was sort of a replacement for Mileena in MKDA(Notice I'm not saying in MK; I refer specifically to MKDA) just because she used the same color scheme, her same weapon, and as there was no Mileena on MKDA, Li Mei made people REMEMBER about her when fighting as Li Mei.

However, in the latest video, she was shown using Li Mei's fighting style; and IF she does end with them in the final game(which I find to be VERY unlikely) then Mileena would be the one stealing Li Mei's styles.

What I cannot understand is that you talk like the game was going to be released tomorrow and that what you saw is what will be in the final version of the game!; it was probably from an early version, and even though Mileena could end up having Li Mei's styles, the team said each returning character would have their own classic moves along with new unique styles, thing that could lead to think Mileena might have unique styles on the final version, and they tested her on Li Mei's styles on early stages of development.

I always say it's better to wait till E3 before confirming things THAT ARE NOT CONFIRMED, and if there is no news about this in E3, then wait as along as necessary, but is useless to bitch and complaint about something that could probably not happen in the final version of the game. You do what you wish, but I suggest keep in mind this.

Frankly, I really don't care WHO had the fighting style first! In MK, those sais are CLEARLY Mileena's trademark! Any character who uses another character's trademark without ANY direct storyline link is considered a "rip-off"! Li Mei infringed on Mileena's trademark first, so that makes HER the rip-off!

wow I am amazed at people. just because Mileena has Li Mei's style in the MK6 doesn't mean she is a rip off. Please people the trailer is just for show. Hell did you know most of MK: DA cast fighting style had changed before release? Like Sonya had Frost 's 2nd style and Nitara had Scorpions 1st style of fighting. So before anyone here can jump to say so and so is a rip off consider that MK6 isn't finsihed yet so please dont jump to concultions.

What trademark? Did Mileena legally copyright them? Midway made both, so they have a right to do whatever they want. They are fictional. Midway could make Johnny Cage run yelling at the top of his voice. Does that make him a Liu Kang ripoff. No. I don't see how Midway can ripoff their own characters.
