1st time I see Kitana's face being fierce, cool. But I don't like her skin color as if she's dead or a zombie (like Liu Kang).

If this is the quality, I would rather have the whole VS screens out to be honest. Shang tsung looks ridiculous -like he is high on crack, Lius face reminds me of Megatron, Kitana looks like a politician etc.

I doubt this the quality. With members going crazy for every scrap of information, petitions running and the forums littered with threads I'd say they just quickly pieced some stuff together to shut us up. I'd say they'll be fixed in time for the release. Well, I hope so. Btw, are there alternate VS poses for alternate costumes? And what do you get when you use your created character?

Sektor is human, he's also part robot.He's a cybor just like Cyrax and Smoke. Hopefully Midway will give Cyrax his oldschool look back with a modern upgrade and keep the helmet or have him not wear one or partially.Different then Sektor. Cyborg:- is a human who is linked to one or more mechanical devices upon which some of his vital physiological functions depend. It makes perfect sense for him to make mechanical sounds, he's human yes but he's also part machine.The fact that he found his soul has nothing to do with the fact that he's still a cyborg for life pretty much. But anyway, Ohhhh yeah!!

What's up with the Sub vs Scorp screen? Do the backgrounds move when it's loading? They're both in the subway, but one has a speeding train.

you beat me to it, I was going to explain that the reason they show 2 pics of Scorpion and Sub-Zero is to show that the versus screen backgrounds are animated, because one shows the train and the other does not

Kitana looks like what she is-a warrior princess but more like an Amazon. When I first saw her, I nicknamed her Xena after beating MKII with her. I still love her nonetheless.

So thats why there are 2 of the same screens it took me a while to notice that.
Other than that, the screens look awesome! But Keith does have a point there, are there going to be VS screen pics for alt costumes for characters? That would be a nice touch to the game though. Sure not everybody likes the screens but there is a possibility of a quality change when the game comes out.

Looks like we all thought of that explanation, i was just quickest on the draw. Thats not always a good thing though. It is the only reason that they'd give us the same characters in a second image, to show us that.

Cyrax is weaponless?

I hope they're wrong about them being "Grudge Matches" loading creens. I really hope that it IS in fact the VS. Mode loading screens, showing whichever characters are going up against each other in the match to be.

Dont worry, it is....Someone just suggested that midway released these pictures because each one seems to have two people who have a grudge against each other. These are the real VS screens.

I'm happy about the return of the Vs screens (better than ever...the reiko vs kahn one is awesome...) but I'm saddened about having the same old outfits again...so it's this info gets a 50/50 reaction from me
