Explanation on Hari-kari
Well, just a little explanaton on the usage of the term, because it can lead to other meanings
First, Hari-kari can't be used, because of the different meanings that it can have in japanese, for example "stick a needle". From my knowledge, no suicide related kanji(japanese/chinese lettters) have the hari-kari reading.
Second, Hara-kiri. It is indeed the right japanese term, which means "cut the belly", but since the suicide moves on MKD are not all related to the samurai cut-belly action, it is not quite right to use it.Thia applies also for Seppuku, which is the chinese way of reading the Hara-kiri kanji.
The right term that can be used is Jissatsu, that means to kill yourself. This is the term used to women who commit "seppuku"(women usually slits own throat or beheads herself), and today for anyone who commits suicide.
But, since the game uses the Hara-kiri term, pay attention on writing, and don't use Hari-kari. It can bring some commuincation errors

Well Ed Boon has said "Hari Kari" more than once in an interview. And when it comes to this game no one knows more than him. It's a mix between the terms "Harry Carey" and "Hara Kiri" the former meaning to commit suicide. Until Ed Boon says otherwise it's Hari Kari
