When designing characters, why don't you design alternate costumes that you KNOW players will LOVE playing in?
For example, give all the ninjas (Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Ermac, Reptile etc...) older alternates, just like you did with Scorpion in MK6. No gadgets or symbols or doohickeys, just plain ol' ninja costumes. Either from MK1/MK2 or MK3, they were all good variations.

Will Reptile be in MK7? If so, will his main costume be the one from MK2? (please say yes).

Is Reptile in MK6?

Two things...

1) What RammSPOOn said is correct. If it's not coming through the email address, it's not being considered for pre-submission. Remember, the address is fightnight@mortalkombatonline.com.

2) Please please PLEASE stop submitting questions about the superunlockables. Everyone and their brother has submitted a question about it already. smile

Thanks in advance...

Yeah, but it wasn't that bad....... I still had a good time that day, lol.

First of all, that's spoiler text. Keep in mind that there are people outside america. Thanks for noticing geography.

And second, that's not even canon. It's an ending and it's "what if" scenario unless it's confirmed in a future version of MK. I do believe that it will be confirmed but until it is, it isn't canon. Don't complain if it isn't used in future games.

I cannot understand why people denied the Reptile-Dragon King connection and so clearly accept Noob Smoke's ending, when they were both "what if" scenarios... well, at least one of them is already confirmed, we'll see about the other one in MK7.

I have one question and one suggestion.
The question: Did you guys decided already in MK2 that original Sub-Zero will be Noob Saibot, or you decided this only in MKD?

The suggestion: Every big Sub-Zero fan (including me, whose favorite is SZ for 11 years now) prefear Sub-Zero as an evil or maybe neutral character, but definetly not as a good one. Sub-Zero is not a Liu Kang style good guy. In next MK i suggest that make the original Sub-Zero back in his blue ninja costume and with Ice powers. Oh, and let him be evil or neutral.
Keep on the good work guys. Peace.

Questions regarding super unlockables and other MK mysteries will all be answered in due time through playing the game and people reading the code. That's how everyone learned there was no final secret in MK:DA. People looked at the game's code itself and found the truth. My point is, it's probably not the best idea to waste time asking the development team questions that will get answered anyway. We should ask questions that only they can answer.

When you guys ask us to submit questions, would it be possible for MKO to publish other people's comments (not necessarly the user) that would allow us to not submit a question twice and feel like we may have a better chance getting our questions asked. It also may drive better questions and cut down the amount of emails you sort through...just a thought, let us know.

Ok Cool, I am NOT going to send you an email, but I assume you will ask these questions already:

Do side missions matter to unlocking the Super secrets?
Does the Mr Shen/Wen/White Lotus headband/Appeance of Kung Lao/Raiden's staff have any big secret?
The significance of Ninja Star?
H-5 to -1 to A-9, Glitch or secret?
Do certain Arenas, or Alternate customes affect the Final secret?
Is the Koffins WQ (or QW) a secret, or a glitch?
Can you go back to the village...

That's what I mean. Those questions don't need to be asked to the development team to be answered. They'll all be answered as people play more and ps2/xbox saavy people tear the game apart from the code like they did with Deadly Alliance. We all found out there was no final secret in DA so thinking back it's a waste to ask them questions about something we'll find out anyway. Wouldn't it be more productive to ask things that only the team members themselves can answer?

I hope it's not like 9pm or 10pm Est let's hope it's a lot earlier than that!

Man, I have a strong feeling Ed Boon is going to tell us "There is one big secret NO one has discovered yet"

This is the second time someone has asked me about a date change smile You people need to carefully read the news. The date in bold for Friday October 22nd is when SUBMISSIONS are due - NOT when the event was going to be.

Hope this helps..

Honestly, I'd ask questions relating to either why they did what they did in Deception or about the future of MK in general. Let me post here two of the questions I submitted.

Since Mortal Kombat is now a 3D fighter, shouldn't it incorporate standard elements of 3D fighting engines such as throw escapes, frame advantage, guard stun, wakeup (oki), etc. in order to maximize it's playability and mid-fight options and thus better compete with other more fluid fighters like Tekken and Virtua Fighter?

and...

Mortal Kombat has never had a strong tournament, competetive, or professional player scene like Virtua Fighter, Tekken, Street Fighter, etc. Can Midway release the frame data for the game to the public as companies like Namco, Capcom, and Sega do in order to promote players to become competetive and aid the ones who intend to?

The way I see it, these two questions can't be answered unless the team members themselves are asked. Also questions about what kind of characters we may see in MK7 or what minigames and create-a-character features may pop up in the future. Those are all good because they can't be answered without the team. Plus, people always complain that Boon and Co. don't listen enough. At least if open ended questions are asked instead of just ones with a "yes" or "no" answer like "Is there a final secret?" then the team has no choice but to listen because they're going to be asked something they can't just say yes or no to. They have to actually think about it.

I'm not saying we should grill them and try to back them into a corner but we should at least ask things that they can't dodge. Most of us have been playing MK since day one so we all know how Ed Boon does things. I guaran-damn-tee that if someone asked him in the chat if there's more than 24 playable characters in the game he'll answer with the typical MK cryptic stuff. "If you look hard enough then I'm sure..." I learned that questions like that aren't so cut and dry with him every since the days of the Kano morph. I love the cryptic side of MK but I don't want it interferring when we get such a limited opportunity to actually ask these guys things.

It'd be a shame if we ask "Are there more than 24 playable characters?" and he answers "If you look hard enough then I'm sure..." and then a few weeks later someone cracks the code of Deception like they did with Deadly Alliance and finds that Johnny Cage is playable. Wooptie Doo. We just wasted a chance to ask the MK team a question that wasn't going to be answered by someone else anyway. I'm just suggesting that we steer clear of asking things about specific Deception secrets that will be found eventually anyway.

I see...

I wonder if they'll work on the fighting engine in MK7 since they decided not to in MK:D. Hopefully they'll take a look at all the gameplay suggestions here and make a truly spectactular game...although it's a long shot...
