Johnny Cage is alright. Not my fav, but i dont hate him. He is a classic MK character. All i want is for him to have an improved storyline in MKD......

Johnny cage is basically your original mk fighter. I dont hate him, but i also dont like him because i'm not a huge fan of him. Personally though, i want to see his story change, its getting pretty boring with this whole "i made a new movie" crap. I think they should change it or kill him off eventually.

I used to think that he was cool, but then he died. I didn't like the fact that he came back to life, but what ticked me off more about him is that he still hasn't changed his storyline from MK1. All he ever does is make movies; no spiritual searches, no nothing. Basically, he's become boring, IMO.

Johnny cage has be my favorite character ever since MK1 not to mention his moves are getting better.

He's one of my least favorite characters, just because he's so boring. Plus he's a pretty-boy. I don't like pretty-boys.

But I did like him in the MK movie. He had a lot of funny lines.

Well, what can I say about this character. I will start by saying he has some of the best special moves in the mortal kombat games, some of the most amazing and bloody fatalities, and excellent fighting styles in MkDA that make him one of the best fighters.

His story (I agree) has gotten old and boring, but if we have to kill his character cause of this reason, then lets just simply kill Scorpion.

Yes, Scorpion like Cage has lost all originality in his story, it has been the same since Mk1, to “avenge his dead family” and “murder the murderer” Really boring, and unlike Cage, he has died like 3 times! People should stop saying Cage died more then once, when he actually never even died!

It was hinted by the team that his death was just a movie called “The Death of Johnny cage”, they never wanted to kill him, and even if he did die, he just died ONCE.

Even though I think he wont return in MKD, I think he should, but with a totally improved story. He has lots of potential, he is a classic, Mk needs him.

Cage is simply a strong character in the story, Mk wouldn’t feel right without him. He is one of the Top 10 originals from the first game that make Mk be Mk. A very strong fan favorite that needs to stay along side the main originals and fight in the tournaments.

I do agree Scorpion and Sub-Zero are a must. But haven’t you ever noticed Scorpions story is just as lame and boring as Cage now???? I mean, the same old thing since Mk1:

Im pretty sure Cage did die, but it duznt matter. Both he and Scorp need new motivation for being MK, along with many other characters.....

I have nothing against Johnny Cage. He's never bothered me.

You make many good points and yes I agree Scorpion needs a fresh story change, like maybe he could actually kill Quan Chi or win the tournament, but he's Boon favorite character, and Boon has made scorpion invincible, he cannot die. As he said in Sub's MK4 ending: You cannot kill a dead man.

i hate him because he is so generic and boring and bland, he is such a dork and thinks he is cool. if mkd is supposed to be the darkest one yet then they should leave johnny out cause with him in the game he will just have another stupid ass movie star ending that has nothing to do with a killer mortal kombat tournament.

I've never hated Cage, in fact I've always liked him. I just think his story has always sucked. After they said he died in MK3, then he mysteriously was resurrected in MKT/MK4, his story just got screwed, and his endings were always some sort of joke. If there's one thing they should've borrowed from the movies, it should've been his serious turn towards the tournament...if they brought back Johnny Cage and said that he 'Has finally given up acting and fights for Earthrealm, understanding the reality of the tournament' then he would be a worthwhile character.

I liked Johnny Cage when he died. When he was excluded in MK 3, I was jumping for joy!

Johnny Cage has been a favorite of mine since the first Mortal Kombat because of his originality and his personality. I too would like to see Johnny Cage looked upon like he was in the movie.

I want to see Cage become a serious character in this game. Cage could relize what is going on and quit acting for a while to develop his skills and help Raiden who is in trouble.

Also Johnny Cage has died and come back from the dead once, his knowledge could enhance his fighting and he would understand a true purpose on Earth. Johnny Cage is also a very wealthy man and Earth's warriors could rely on his funds he made from his movies. Cage could start rivalrys with some of the other warriors and travel in a group with Kung Lao.

I would love to see a witty and cunning Johnny Cage who laughs at the face of death when he sees it coming. Cage could be mostly a mental opponent who toys with the other fighter's emotions and makes them loose concentration. Cage could have his serious moments too, he could have two different sides to him, the witty character in him and the serious determined fighter too.

johnny cage is a very good character fighting wise, very good actually. his psecial moves rock (nut punch 4eva!!)

but, he as a character story has gotten stale ever since he rose back from the dead. if i had a choice of having johnny in MK Deception, i would say no, because we need some more room for other characters and he isnt really helping with the interest level in MK.
