instead of you just facing your self at the begining of the match you are faced against a mirror and when the fight begins when they say "fight" the breaks and your fighters reflection steps out or your fighters reflection could bust through the mirror and your fighters reflection would do all your move but in a reverse like the combos will be in reverse and they will hit with opposite hands but like a solid punch and a kick will be the same as normal and at the end of the match when you defeat them they break and shatter on the floor or they could destruct like agent smith in matrix revolutions tell me what you think?

I kind of like the idea.

What I would like is to have the "mirror" character have a darker or different color palette and red , glowing eyes. If you hit it , it wouldn't bleed like you do (strangely colored blood maybe ?). When you finally kill it , it falls to the ground and shatters as if it were made out of glass , unless you perform a Fatality on it.

Both ideas are great. However, I think that the mirror oppenent should look as if he is the opposite alignment. If your character is consider one of the good guys or a neutral, have his/her mirror image look extremely evil. If your character is a bad guy, make the mirror image look holy. For example: Your character is Sonya, in the mirror match out of the mirror comes Sonya in spike heels, leather, chains, etc and red or green glowing eyes. If your character is Shang Tsung, your mirror image will be him looking like a holy man with a faint white glow around him.

yeah i like the red eyed part probably the color should look as if the character was under water with a type of blusih grayish tint over his whole body. sort of like like ghost type. and get this if nitara was in the game when she got to her mirror fight she would fight an invisible character.but you can still fight it becuase you know your character atomatically goes to the other character and when you hit them you can follow through with a combo so you not seeing the nitaras reflection really wouldn't make a big difference.

This idea is dope!! I like it. I hope something like this actually happens.

I like the whole 'made out of glass' feel you guys have come up with. Honestly, they don't have to do too much though. We have lots in the game it seems already, and all they really need to do is add that glass effect, title the match as 'Mirror Match' and they've very easily increased the gameplay.

It's an extra match to face in single player, and because they 'call' it another type of match (even though it's really just a normal fight) it gives the illusion of more variety in the game. That kinda sounds negative, but it's very posistive, I liked the mirror match in MK1, and I would enjoy it for the same reasons in MK6.

Lets see what i get from all of this...

The match starts off with you next to a mirror, Your darker-double then steps out of the mirror. The mirror character doesn't bleed and it attacks in reverse (right = left). Then when it is defeated, He/She shatters.

Excellent idea.

That idea is great! An evil Sonya or an evil Raiden stepping out of a mirror would be awesome! Seeing a good version of Shnag or Mavado would be cool too. But what would the neutral characters get? They would probably get themselves coming out of the mirror or a random evil or good version of themselves.

Not really sure how this would work with neutrals. However, I have noticed that so-called neutrals do tend to lean more to either good or evil. For example: Scorpion seems to lean more to being good now, so his mirror image would be evil (How they would make him look evil-er I have no idea). Nitara leans more to being evil so her mirror image would be angelic. (Picture Nitara with angel wings and a halo.) This could also give us a hint as to the Unknow alignment characters such as Frost and Kenshi were in MK:DA.

Exactly.

Just give the guys a different color palette , a shattering effect at the end and call the fight a "Mirror Match" and thats it !!!! Simple and fun !!!!

Maybe the mirror character should be a little harder than you. For example if you are playing on Medium , your opponent fights as if he were on Hard.

Sounds like an interesting idea. I think it would be best not to give the characters true intentions away though by making it plainly obvious with an opposite representaton. It would take away the mystery of the neutral character.

You're most likely right....Perhaps the random alignment might be best for the mirror image of the neutrals and unknowns. But I still want to see the evil Raiden. grin

I'd love to see the evil version of Raiden too! He's probably have a darker shade and tone about him and his electricity would look a reddish black colour maybe. His hat would probably be spiked. He'd look cool!

How about the whole arena is surrounded with mirror panels...giving the mirror image of your character some kind of advantage?

They could maybe send a projectile through one mirror and two come out from different mirrors around the arena.

The mirror character could also pass through one panel and emerge somewhere else around the arena.

if you have your mirror match up against the wall and you land a big blow that sends them flying back, the glass should shatter with a nice effect.

What if every panel had a different effect? If you knocked the mirror opponent back he could go smashing straight through, where u then go onto fight in another area.Or both of you could get sucked into the mirror, into a mirror world where everythin is distorted.

Also you remember the forrest level in mk2, where secret characters would pop out from behind trees?i think in the mirror level you should be able to make out images within the mirrors.Imagine just being able to make out an image of shao kahn, then passing through the mirror and being transported to a realm for the dead, where u take on a battle scarred kahn.At least this way there is an actual reason to bring back old favourites.

To sums things up, i imagine this level being massive.The main area is a circular arena with glass panels surrounding it,When your opponent hits these panels they either;
shatter the panel,
go through it and emerge somewhere else in the arena,
Or are transported somewhere completely different to fight a secret character.

In the middle of the circular arena is a glass floor where a stage fatality can be performed in the middle...knocking your opponent into the air they crash through the middle fall down a long drop and impaled at the bottum onto of broken mirror glass.
This is the main arena but there will be different parts to it so that you can take your battle all around.

Dude, those ideas are awesome! I love the idea of the projectile going into a mirror and two coming out of another! Also, the mirror warp idea is great! Nice work!

Dandabrit , those were some REALLY good ideas and I would LOVE to see them in the game.

This stage would be awesome ! It would have a great stage fatality and it could be used to access fights with hidden characters , like the portal in MKII (kind of). No doubt , it will also look really cool.

These ideas fit in well with the Yin/Yang arena idea. I hope Boon implements this in a future game.

About the whole not bleeding thing... maybe the mirror character's blood would be like a silver-reflecting color... like in The Matrix when Neo is swallowed by the mirror liquid... their blood could be that color.... later
