I believe the characters are still carrying their own weapons, but he said the background weapons will be a lot stronger, and add more pain to the opponent than just their default weapon.

I am surprized too dude, if u are concerned bout the fighting style then u ppl are stupid, thats the last thing to worry bout, i am worrying bout ppls special moves so they dont be gay i want cyrax green net back.

everybiody has like 10 fighting styles. They have thier 2 FIGHTING STYLES AND THIER WEAPON FIGHTING STYLE THATS MAKES 3. THEN THEY HAVE WEAPONSin the arena and guess wat boon himself said that those weapons u find in the arena has its OWN fighting style.there would be at least 60 weapons total (all the areanas togther, not 60 in one stage, so thats means 60 diff. fighting styles and the dead or alive area change, look at the pics first, like i did) I have absolutly no compalints at ALL after the pics. the levels are huge and i think run button is back is u double tap forward. the levels are huge and those alone would make u want to explore instead of attck with your fighting style dont worry, i promise u when u look at these pics, you wont notice how badass this game is until u do, he even said everybody has 3 fatilities and some have more!!!!!!! including hari kari suicide fataltiy.

I don't mind the styles remaining the same. Plus there are new (new to the series and returning to the series) characters that weren't in MK:DA so they will most likely have styles that weren't in MK:DA. So it's not like we're seeing all the exact same styles over again.

Plus, I don't want Scorpion to change his styles, which he isn't. He has the 2 best hand to hand styles in the game IMO. Pi Gua for it's strength and power, Hapkido for it's style and how it makes him look good while using it. You gotta admit, Scorpion does look badass while using Hapkido. The moves look really well done and cool, and the way Scorpion looks cool adds to how cool Hapkido looks when he uses it. So I don't mind Scorpion not changing styles. And all the other characters returning from MK:DA. Because it would be stupid for someone to 2 hand to hand styles and come back to continue the storyline, taking place not long after, but have completely different styles.
