I used to steal my brother's DS to play some of the games but he sold it to get a PSP. I'll love to see how it works out on DS.

Yeah, there's a new vid on IGN but I think it's just old material from the previous portable versions. And in the article Boon said that the same people who worked on the 360 online UMK3 are working on the DS version for the online, arcade port transition etc.

I know a lot of people on here may not have a DS, but yeah the game due out in November will have the MKD puzzle kombat and the arcade port of UMK3 in it. Both can be played online, so trax if you have a wii fi nintendo device or wireless router, let me know down the line man. I'd love to get in some UMK3 matches with you. Puzzle if fun too, but I really suck at that game lol.

Ohh, I gotta disagree with that man. Aside from the fact that the DS is owning the PSP right now, I have played both. At first the PSP "appeared" to be a nice little portable system, but sadly fails with the games compared to the DS's lineup, the online play on both are about the same but from my experience plays really well when I played Mario Kart, Tetris online.

PSP is nothing but a gimmick on Sony's part, they took the similar route with PS3 and look how that turned out?

This proves that the whole "graphics owns theory" is indeed just a theory, a false one at that.

The PSP may seem prettier and more beautiful but can't hold a lick to the DS's overall value, performance games and creativity.

I don't know anyone who uses a PSP for music, movies, etc.

Most people already own an MP3 at this point, I've never seen anyone watch a movie on a bus, train or anywhere. I sometimes travel via PT so I see a lot of the latest technology these days. I've seen the rasberries or whatever they call them lol, countless DS's, GBA's and like two PSP's in that time.

Plus, they hurt themselves with the whole illegal emulation gig. Then sony blocked that with the later released PSPs. My friend did that, he showed me with old nintendo games....but as soon as word got out, that changed as I'm sure you're aware of. That did not look good for Sony at all.

The only time the PSP gave the DS comp was when it first came out, and that didn't last too long. The past few years, Nintendo has and still is owning the portable market. I believe they will also continue to do so.

EVERYONE i know has hella songs and sum movies on theres,not to mention does the DS have an Internet browser?

You cant say DS has better games and if u wanna go into it u can list what the ds has and the psp doesnt,then i can do a lil research and find hella good psp games the ds doesnt have.

New York City, but of late I also checked out the survey facts on sales and such. The DS is seriously killing the PSP right now.

Liberty City and Vice Stories are only two games man, does the PSP have Mario, Metroid, Puzzle games online, Star Fox, Zelda, Nintendogs, Mario Kart, Pokemon, Tetris all online among many others? Nope...these games sold at a ridiculous rate man. The Mario, Tetris, Starfox you can link up to 4-6 players online depending on the game. 4 in most cases.


Also a great feature with the DS is that on most games that are multiplayer online or multiplayer up to 4 people friends etc, you can play using only one game card instead of everyone having to buy 4 of the same game.

Can the PSP do that?

I'm not sure if you're aware or not but last year when that new oldschool Mario game came out for the DS, it tore up the charts in the portable market, easily outselling anything the PSP can throw at it. I still have the gameinformer and nintendo power issues some where in my house, I remember both saying Mario #1 on the DS.

The little touch screen depending on the game is sweet, but on some I admit is not that great depending on the game.

Now when Midway recently announced UMK3 for the DS, they said clearly sicne I read the article the stylus won't be used, there's not point in a game like MK they said more or less and that in the future perhaps but not now.

Also, they're also looking to do what other nintendo ds games have done concerning the have multiple players all play sharing one persons game card.

The DS is the currently leading the console war it is outselling the PSP easily. The lead goes like this... DS, WII, PS2, XBOX 360, PSP, GBA (not a joke) and finally in last place the PS3. Did you know that sony have lost a billion dollars because of the PS3??? thats what I heard. The PS3 is also the most expensive game console in history. "Its Official, PS3 Sucks"
Thats not the point though, the point is that UMK£ is coming out on the (superior) DS and it will OWN

Every other portable mk game has been lacking badly from what i read.

I own a ds and the only game i have is pokemon. Yes i like pokemon. just the game not the show.

but i want another game...I havn't even checked out the online yet with it but i am sure it is awesome.

I don't know if the mk will be worth it.

Ahh, well allow me to tell you more man. First off as some others said UMK3 for the DS WON'T be MKadvance which sucked horribly and had nothing to do with the core MK team or boon, they even said this...some people have assumed this, this isn't the case. Boon and the same team that worked on UMK3 for the 360 will indeed be working on the DS version that's great news. : )

Second, UMK3 for the DS coming out will be indeed the arcade port, they've said it now in a few interviews including the one currently on the news MKO when you log in, read it mesofly, you'll see. Looks very promising. And it has online play which I must say for the fellow ds owners here that play it online via Mario Kart, Metroid, Star Fox whatever...it's awesome and has virtually no lag.

Yep, I do love that game because it's a million times better then MKA and more competitive. None of that 33 easy win nonsense, plays much better online and is overall just a much better MK game. Don't get me wrong, I love and play every MK game because I'm that hardcore but UMK3 is one of the best MK games ever if not the best actually.

I have no doubt in my mind that UMK3 for the DS will be VERY worth it.
