Nice Theory!... so your point is that Shinnok my also be in MKD?????

This is clearly a well-though out story. But I don't think it could work for a few minor reasons.

In Scorpion's bio, it was said the scorpion met with the fabled gods. "gods" being plural. Shinnok ruled alone. He hated his divine peers. Although it is a very small detail, it's a very important one as well.

Also, Shinnok, if anywhere, would be in the netherealm. Scorpion probably has known about his whereabouts for some time. Yet Scorpion went into the void, not the netherealm. As far as we know, this void is a new element in MK. It could be possible that this is the realm dead gods go to. But to me, it clearly looked like Shinnok fell into the bowls of the netherealm in MK4.

One problem, Scorpion escapes to the Void, and he mest The Eleder GODS, many of them, while Shinnok is exiliated by himself in neatherrealm.

Where is Shinnok's face in the portal???
I only see a Babilonian-looking guy


However, I dont discard the idea that Shinnok may be mentioned in the story of the game at some time, but doubtly joining forces with scorpion

Shinnock's face is not in the MKDA portal stage.
Shinnock is a fallen god, not a fabled god.

Perhaps it is possible that the Elder Gods want the amulet for something?

I like the story, but, I would have to agree with what Temp said about the plural usage of "Gods" in the bio.

I think the Elder Goda gave Shujinko and Scorpion the same quest to get the Kamidogu or the amulet stolen from Shinnok by Quan Chi.

I agree with MaxDam because if scorp went to some place and met the elder gods than shinnock would not be one of them because he is a FALLEN god meaning he is no longer a god and would have no rite to be with the elder gods.

i too thought some parts of this theory, however, i pm tgrant and he said it was unlikely that shinnok will be involved in deception. sorry

Temp, you should change your name to "Devil's Advocate" because you're notorious, at least in my eyes, for taking really really good theories, finding flaws, and wiriting about them. But hey opionions are opinions. I'm glad this post got props, cuz it's an amazing theory (granted it had some kinks that need worked out) and I would not be surprised if it came true.

Very good theory, might I show you my similar theory? I had posted a similar theory in another thread without looking at this one, we think alike.

I believe the Elder Gods are using Scorpion as a tool to defeat the Dragon King. In Raiden's profile it states that he had sacrificed his god powers to create a blast to kill the Dragon King. The Dragon King was unaffected and Raiden was lost. The Elder Gods would suspect a power coming from the Dragon King and it could be destroyed by using the Kamidogu.

The Elder Gods will probably make a deal with Scorpion to be reunited with his family if he went on a quest to destroy the Dragon King. Scorpion would indefinatley accept this mission and search the Outworld for the Dragon King's power.

Shujinko had searched for the Kamidogu for nearly sixty years and he would see to it that he would retrieve untill the Kamidogu he dies. Scorpion would be sent on a similar quest as Shujinko and the both warriors will become rivals on retrieving the Kamidogu.

Scorpion would put his quest for revenge at a halt as he carried out this deed for the Elder Gods for himself. One day Scorpion would be reuinited with his family.

The theory is all right, but you did have to make a lot of stretches to make that theory work such as the kamidogu (however you spelt it) is in fact the amulet. Also there is a plothole in your theory, why would the elder gods tell Shujinko to look for the amulet around age 13 when the elder gods knows that the amulet is resting in the temple of elements. The elder gods helped Raiden banish Shinnok to the Netherealm so they knew what happened to the amulet, I dont see why they would send Shujinko to many realms looking for it. Also remember that Shujinko was asked to retrieve the amulet many years before Quan Chi tried to take it in MK Mythologies, so its not like the Elder Gods suspected a duplicate at that point of time. Its a good theory, however I do not agree with it.

So scorpion frees him and tells shinnok to help him take care of the onis and quan chi for good. boom!!! makes perfect sense why shuginko has the amulet which i think is the kamidog thingy. scorpion takes it and that makes him shuginkos ememy, and how the elder god is actually shinnok and it also makes sense that scorpion would free him cause he too is quan chis enemy. Hope this makes sense and i am almost certain i am very CLOSE to the actual storyline so i still put spolier in the title of this thread. tell me what u think. and no flaming please, i know this isnt the WIZARD of OZ, with that crystal ball thingy message in the amulet. anyway i just found some more info about this story possible being true. the rest were speculations but now i found some solid storyline stuff that link these two togther. In the konquest demo played, the elder gods(who look like a cloud of smoke swirling in the air) told shuginko in the konquest game to retrive the kamdogu. YES the ELDER GODS TOLD HIM. Those are the same people that are talking to scorpion, so what other possible thing could they tell scorpion. So i found ANOTHER important storyline.

I NOW KNOW it is indeed TRUE that the relder gods have spoken with the young shuginko and that scorpion has met these same gods in the VOID. and if you dont rememeber, this isnt the first time this has happened to scorpion. Subzero was asked to get the sacred map of elements and so was scorpion and they met at the same place to get the same map, and this was when scorpion died at the hands of the classic subzero. (takes place before MK1 and is in the game MK:myths subzero for those of you that dont know)
dammit all i need now is proof that the kamidogu is even the damn amulet cause it might be a damn flower for all we know, damn it might even be a baby tree like in the karate kid LOL.

BUt they didnt rip him apart, maybe showing that these werent HOLY souls, and VOID i think means to void=cancel. void=canceled. the souls i think were not pure and they were tormented souls and evil souls(remeber shang was trying to kill shao khan so remember not all the souls he killed were good, there were some evil ones) the souls were not pure and scorpion did not get ripped apart by them but he got sent BACK to the netherrealm. Good points, since I know just as much as you not more or less I would say that the theory could indeed work. But the only thing I have to say is that they could have told Scorpion to do numerous other things or might not have told him to do anything at all.

Also I have read and reread the part where your talking about scorpion and classic sub-zero getting the map of elements but I could not follow what you were saying. Where you saying that that was the first time the elder gods sent Scorpion on a mission. That's the best I could come up with, though it was Quan Chi that sent Scorpion.

Interesting thing about Scorpion but like you said, we need a proof that kamidogu is part or is in fact the amulet.
There are elemetal gods like Water, Earth, fire and wind. I really doubt there is an Ice god that enchanced Subzero's powers. Ice comes from the water.
Imo, Dariou sketch in MKDA is great. That's a matter of taste.

thankx, but i got fooled and raiden still lives but it beat up. Well they planned on bringing raiden back from teh "dead" so they decided not to kill him i guess but instead his ending will be FALSE and he will get killed by the deadly alliance still.
