Okay, so...if they make MK vs. JUST the Punisher, you'll get what you want. How nice for you.

Yeah, you just got owned, kiddo.

Who got owned? Spider-Man, Hulk, and Iron Man will never be in an M-rated game, that's the point I was making.

Punisher game I showed was rated T.

Then you showed the wrong game, good for you.
the Blade games were also M
Not to mention Marvel turned their characters into flesh eating zombies in a mini series. There's a lot they'll do to the characters, much more than DC would allow. Granted it was an alternate dimension but at least it was kick ass. So if they did MK vs Marvel Zombies it would be M. Good for me.

DC has had blood and guts in every single one of their past three or four major crossovers, as well as a good chunk of their regular monthly books. Children no longer make up a significant portion of the audience buying and reading comics, so BOTH companies currently produce "mature" work. Marvel is not ahead of DC at this and to be honest, they never really were.
But what happens in the comics does NOT translate into what the marketing execs will allow in video games, where they want the largest audience possible to partake.
Therefore, there's not a snowball's chance in Hell of ever seeing a game with their big name characters like Spidey, the X-Men, and the Avengers, rated M.
If you wanna campaign for MK vs. a bunch of B-list characters like Punisher, Blade, and Moon Knight, be my guest. I have a pretty good feeling you'll be campaigning alone, though. Nobody will buy a game titled "Mortal Kombat vs. Marvel" with no Spider-Man in it.

No, it was a good idea and nonetheless a cecent game, it lack the FEEl of MORTAL KOMBAT! if they are ever to do another MK vs, i hope it would be with a franchise that woul allow them to do what they do...
for example...
MK vs Xmen? its a possiblility, Xmen kill other characters and it would have great potential, but until they can manage all that, i will settle for just an MK9 on the unreal engine!
Do you agree?

Um... no. It would be just as watered down as this game is in order to maintain a T rating, there is no way in hell Marvel would allow a game featuring the X-Men.
Also, FYI, Wolverine kills, most of the rest of the X-Men don't.

No, the shit that Black Adam pulls in the in-universe comics would never be allowed in a Marvel comic.

I challenge you to find a single marvel scan that is equal to what he did to Psycho Pirate or that guy with the jetpack outside of Punisher MAX (which isn't a mainstream Marvel comic, it's like DC's Vertigo brand).
RazorsEdge701 Wrote:Sorry, but Marvel doesn't do M-rated games either, kiddo.
Maybe not M-rated, but in Marvel Nemesis, they at least allowed some of their heroes to kill. For a T-rated game, the Finishers were quite decent and nicely executed. Wolverine for example went all Berserker rage on his victim, all that was missing was the blood as he gutted them. Someone like Daredevil actually broke his opponents neck. And Human Torch turned his opponent to dust.
Marvel seems a lot more lenient than DC, when it comes to having their heroes off someone.

So you think it's somehow Superman's fault that other characters, characters who kill like Baraka, have weak finishers, and if it were Marvel, the ESRB, who have nothing to do with Marvel, would have let them get away with more but with the same rating?
Because make no mistake, that's who had the final say on the ones that WEREN'T Brutalities. The ESRB. DC didn't say no to Scorpion and Raiden turning their characters into skeletons or Joker and Deathstroke putting bullets in their brains, so that's not what it was about. They didn't mind their characters BEING killed, or how it was done, they just didn't want their heroes DOING the killing.

DC is boring like hell ...
Although the game is mkore than good still it did not sell well and put the series in more dangers .
I can imagin that if this was a real MK with an M and tons of blood and secrets it would have sold 1000000 times better than this .
just look at MK:A it sold better than this although this is the better game .
SO , no more crossovers not with DC , Marvel ,SF or any other series .

I doubt it'd work. SHOLY HIT! THE WORLDS ARE COLLIDING!! AGAIN?!
It was good once, but I don't think they're going to strike lucky twice. M rated fatalites plz.
God, I want some fucking Dubliner cheese.

The only thing that collided was the brain cells from the midway team when making this game
NO more crossovers ok? N E V E R

The crossover was nice...But I'd really prefer the Dark, Gritty game that was promised to us.
Not that I mind Mk vs. DC. I think it was necessary to get the kombat system to stop sucking. Now they can improve on the Mk vs. Dc system and make a better game. (Hopefully)
