Yes I mean they had five years to make deadly alliance and that's had the most depth to it so far to any other mk game.
I think so to. I mean they Rushed MK:A
A bit to Fast. I personally wouldn't mind either if they Delayed it.
Because Take Halo 2 For example. They Delayed that Game so Many times it was Insane. But look on the Brightside. In the end It was such an Awesome Video.
And I think they should do the same for MK:8
Because just think if somehow MK:8 Felt like playing MK:A. I would be very dissapointed and take it back. =/

I'd be really
, and I would jump over to playing SF4. By the time it came out(MK8 a while after SF4) I wouldn't care no more I'd be really into SF4. So, if they delayed MK8 for an extra Year or a half, I'd be mostly irrate and give up on MK 4-ever!

I'd be slightly disappointed but honestly wouldn't mind if it meant a better game, fixing stuff or tweaking important things like online play and balance.

awsome that means better features just like super smash bros brawl

They can do patches now too for the home consoles, so that would cut down on some possible delay time.
I don't know if they would bother with that though, instead of focusing all their efforts on the next installment.

But on the other hand.. I could wait 'til Dec.31/08 or Jan 31/09. No longer than that and as long as I get to see all the characters that will be in the game(playable, bosses and hidden). I also want to see all of their special movesets and fatalities.

I don't see why it's taking them so long. They're using the Unreal Engine. Shouldn't that make it easier for them instead of starting from scratch?
As long as it doesn't take until 2009, I'll be fine. If it does, I'll be pissed and annoyed.

Not exactly ^^ you see although the UR engine itself is well known now, it's also the first time in MK's case that it's being used for a "fighting game" so with that being said, they're doing their best to get it right for something that's never been done before with this particular engine.
The big question is gameplay obviously, looks I have no doubt it'll look better then any other fighting game out there right now if you've seen the UR3 engine graphically you'll see what I mean.
