Rain is my favorite ninja. He is a character with so much potential and has an interesting story background. I hope he will be in MKD though. If not, hopefully MK7 than. I agree they should give him a new look and still have purple to his attire. I think they could get him to look more like an unmasked samarai rather than a ninja.

I did miss Shinnok. Mostly because I hate Shinnok.

But if they come up with an interesting storyline for Rain and some cool new moves, by all means bring the sucker back.

No, what they should do is bring back old people first (screw my other post). Bring back characters like Sheeva, and Rain. Then they could kill off some characters, FOR GOOD, then bring new ones. Thats how it should go. IMO

Adding more characters like that and not knowing what happened to them will get people saying "OMG I want Sektor back cuz he was uber in MK7". It gets really annoying.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't mad. I wrote it a while ago and a lot of it is all in the beginning/middle of the thread so a lot of people probably haven't read the stuff I wrote there.

Actually I wouldnt say Sub Zero is MK...Scorpion equally shares that title...

Figures thought that I hate having all these ninjas and yet the only one not included in th game is the only ninja I ever liked---Rain...Scorpion is ok, Sub Zero is understandable...but Ermac, Saibot, and Smoke (ninja o not) is going a little overboard...especially when more original classic characters are being left out because of it...

rain totally fits in the storyline: kitana captured, sindel fighting,

kitana was his friend when the were kids they trained together she helped rain become khan's general rain found out khan killed his father rain made an attempt on khans life khan throws him in prisonkitana springs him because of the dragon kings on coming threat so he joins sindels army becomes another general then kitana is captured rain and sindel go off to free kitana in return for freeing him

look: purple and black with mavado alt like armor
purple face mask thing and keanu reeves hair and head shspe

fighting styles: snake, pi gua, spear

special: lightning, waterball, super roundhouse (rain is not unoriginal and lame he controls the weather i beleive so in the super roundhouse he uses the winds to blow them to the other side of the screen)

fatality: makes rain to soak the opponent, shoots them with lightning, kicks them with the super roundhouse then throws his spear throught there chest pulls it out and chops his opponents head off then he fries them with a giant lightning bolt.

unlock:fight him in konquest, then find him in the prison(he is really well hidden), you use your projectile to free him, then on the select screen you hit select (not X or start) over sindel

Rain is clearly one of the cooler MK ninjas. His lighting blast rocks. He definatly should be given the chance to return. However that day might not me seen til Mk 7.

I would love for Rain to come back and be in MK:D, but his lightning move has already been given to Nightwolf..it could change, being only 20% done but it's not likely. I really want Rain in though..

I would like to see Rain come back rather than Noob Saibot. I personaly think Noob Saibot's story is over, the god he worships has fallen and yet he still serves Shao Kahn? I feel that Noob Saibot should have had his last stand in Mortal Kombat 4 as a playable character on the general roster. Through all of the classic Mortal Kombat games he had served as a spy to Shinnok. Noob Saibot should have fought to the death against a strong Earth warrior.

Rain could serve a good purpose in Deception, Sindel looks as if she is evil yet again, that is more than a good reason to bring Rain back. Rain could form a n alliance with Kitana to try and save the corrupted queen of Edenia. Since the odds are stacked against Kitana, Rain would definatley be an important figure to help balance the realm of Edenia and restore peace in the chaotic time the kingdom is facing. I find Rain's thunder powers to be some sort of imitation to Raiden's so Rain should be able to control the element of water, it suits his name don't it?

I'd like to see Rain back. I think his fireball would be excellent in maneuvering opponents towards death traps, as would his super roundhouse - or they could drive them away if he were in the red zone.

I wouldn't mind if Rain came back.

I want Rain back. He was my all time best character in MKT (cause he was the only character I beat the game with).

OK i got it just 2 minutes after i posted it was in GMR magazine it said rain was coming back and showed a picture is this true or false im not postin this to throw u guys off either

It showed a picture of Rain in MK:D graphics? ...What did he look like?

It's kinda funny. Rain is going to be in this game, Just not on the playable list... That we know of.
