I agree with Sub-Zero_7th. Frost is no clone of Sub-Zero. She is her own character and she had an excellent story, styles and a completely different Freezing move. Her Ground Freeze ran along the ground whereas Sub-Zero's formed a puddle.
She's a great character and I'm glad she's back.

As is Kobra from Ken masters. One is a jerky ansatsuken master, another is a mundane martial artist with sociopathic tendencies, and killing urges.
Wow, from this conclusion I think it is safe to say that Kobras mind is ex-tremely nor unoriginal. You know archetypes are not necessarily stereo-types or ripoffs.

I have a question nobody has ever asked or answered.
How come you rag on characters like Kira and Kobra for stealing the moves of Johnny,Sonya,and Kano yet nobody has a problem with Reptile or Jade stealing Subbie and Kitanas moves in their first appearance.Why is that??

I think its because of 2 reasons:
1- They were created in the very same game.
2- Its been years already, and they have evolved to become their own characters, so even if they shared all the other characters moves back then, they are acceptable now. They were lame clones back then, now they are awesome.

Can't say I cared too much for Frost, but I'm willing to give her another chance. I just hope she gets some more original moves (I felt she was essentially a slightly altered MKII Sub-Zero sans the regular ice blast). Maybe she'll smarten up and join the good guys for real, I think that's where she belongs. I can see her as learning from her mistakes.

One Reptile was NOT in the same game as Jade when he was a clon and number two how come everyone thinks there is no hope for Kobra and Kira yet they share the same origins of their fan favorites?

To coltess: The other Lin Kuei warriors are unaware of Frost's betrayal, but they probably would be after her if they knew. There needs to be more insight as to why Frost desires to be Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei.

True, they weren't in the same game, but they still become their own persons with their own moves.
I don't believe most think there's no hope for them. People are just expressing their opinion and want them changing so that they aren't somewhat unoriginal or boring. This is moreso for Kira than Kobra as everything she has (save her Fatalities, story, costume and one specila move) is ripped off from someone else.

I actually like Kobra. He amuses me greatly.
However, Kira is the one I don't have time for. Give her some original moves. The cannonball is acceptable, because perhaps it is less a trademark of Kano and more a trademark of the Black Dragon. Sonya's kiss was attrocious given to Kira, they could've at least had her throw dust instead of doing in the same fashion as Sonya.
Altogether, new moves are needed for her.
BTW, Kobra's simple psychopath story owns. It seems somewhat Tobias era- ish, and this works for Kobra. Vogel did a good job of expanding the simple characters that Tobias made, but with Kobra he used a very simple plot. It works, in all honesty to have a character that simply wants to be the best fighter they can be. It's very different from the other characters, even the ones who desire power like Shang Tsung want a very different kind of power from Kobra.
Kobra's desire is to simply be the strongest.

Kobra = everyday Joe in MK with a vengeance. he owns Scorpions stale story with beef time.

Vengeance? Nah. If it weren't for Scorpion's MKDA storyline, Scorpion's story wouldn't have been so shallow.

So basically, all you're saying is that Frost is exactly like Sub-Zero, but has a crappy story?
