I hope they include the create a fighter

They stated that they're wiping the state clean. So I highly doubt that "KAF" will be included.

It'd be nice to have since I love playing with that thing. But they should do it so you choose if your character is DC or MK and then have different powers and clothing based on that choice.

KAF was my fav part of Arm. :(

KAK = Kreate A Kharacter
reason for not using "KAF" is because instead we use that for "Kreate A Fatality". So calling it "KAK" limits confusion.

That was designated Custom Fatality by Boon, but whatever.

Dude, Every game both wrestling and fighting game to have a KAK is broken as hell, that's the whole point of it to create your "dream character" and even the ones with style limits or sets etc are broken because it's custom....that's why it's not legit to have a KAK in any fighting or wrestling game vs. a regular character.
But for their first attempt it was pretty cool, much better then SC3's trash for KAK...
I want it back for a fun mode, since there will be no 3 styles it'll automatically be a lot more balanced so that's good. Then they just have to expand more on the cloth options, overlapping, more masks etc

Ive already posted in this forum but ill do it again..
What was wrong with Kreate a fighter? Cheap players, not enough options, not enough settings?
With the next gen system, they can improve on EVERYTHING. I think they should get another chance to include Kreate a Fighter.. A much more detailed and expaded KAF.
MK vs DC has no fatalities... 90% of the MK characters arent making the roster.. I want them to include KAF at the very least, just so I can make characters I like and feel like im playing a mortal kombat game.

Personally I think Kreate-a-Fighter is the perfect compromise to the quality-vs-quanity debate. Which is the main reason it was flawed in MKA.
In MKA the tried to burn the candle at both ends by including all the franchise's characters and a create-a-character, thus both became a rush job.
This game is intended to have only 20 fighters which means each fighter get more attention but also that over a hundred MK and DC character will be left in the dust. KaK solves this problem: if you want your favorite missing "flavor-aid" ninja or obscure DC character, create them and leave MIdway to flesh out the iconic characters.
That being said "Kreate-a-Fighter" needs to be vastly improved from the broken mess it was in MKA. Scrap the broken special moves catergories for a VERY strict point system. Add a point system to the basic attacks as well, so if you pick all the best attacks you get no combos. And for god's sake include a full list of special moves this time, not less than 30% like in MKA. Oh and using KaKs should probably be banned from tournament play for obvisious reasons. Exhibition online play however should be allow just because why not?

im all for create a character
it gives people the chance to make characters that reflect there personality more then the 20 choices you get
as a artist myself in armeggedon i considered myself very good at making profesion looking and feeling characters, thou on the net i can imagin a lot of crappy looking characters turning up that look highly and badly mixed and matched, its not for everyone but if its there i will probelly have more fun playin as my own character
anyways about the cheap character move set, they really aint so cheap against another cheap move set
some call it cheap some call it powerfull

Please, no. Please no KAF, no Mortal Mario Kart, no Puzzle Kombat, no ANYTHING "extra".
I completely understand why you would want KAF back and better, but I simply don't think it's a wise use of resources at this point. And they really, really need to focus on Kombat this time. I'm already scared that they're putting in 2 konquest modes (by the sound of it).
This team has historically spread themselves too thin on almost every MK game. I'm glad it's a short roster. I'm glad they're building it up from nothing. But priority should be fighting mechanics, and presentation.

Maybe if they did a better job with it.. but I doubt they would
no.. I think overall we're better off without it

I have mixxed feeling about KAKs. I am against it because of the fact that I like playing online, and I know how people are online in MKA. They use the KAK to kreate the absolute CHEAPEST kharacter they can. But at the same time I LOVED KAK. And if KAK is in this new game, I will do the same thing I did on Armageddon. Create all MARVEL comics characters. On Armageddon I made Wolverine (he was awesome, if you wanna see him I play online) Ghost Rider, Cable, and Apocalypse. I gave them all moves that would make sense for them as close as I could, I didn't just use cheap moves just to be cheap. I also made an AWESOME M. Bison, Sephiroth, and Akuma. Those are the characters I would make again if the proper parts were included again.
I really hope they include Kreate-a-Kharacter again. I always wanted to make Superman just for the heck of it, just to see how odd it was to see him rip the limbs off someone in versus mode. But, man, I can't imagine him ever being a real character in the game. That would just be silly, right?
Seriously, I did like KAK. I had three big gripes about it though:
1. Really easy to make cheap characters that overpowered nearly all the main characters
2. A few limited excessory items. They could've added more.
3. The fact that you could make one (UND PRECISELY VON!) character per profile, which sucks. What if I wanted to make someone else? Nope, have you start over or create a new profile. Soul Calibur III was at least kind enough to have you get almost 7 or 8 created characters per profile.
Given just how limited the fighting cast is going to be for this game, I'd greatly appreciate having KAK in here, if only because I'd be quite bitter if some old stand-ins were dropped in lieu of "iconic" characters like Johnny Cage or The Flash.

You're referring to PS2 I'm assuming? On xbox, no need for MC's and you could have 10 max one per profile but for xbox it wasn't a big deal. For PS2, ehh you needed to buy MC's which I thought sucked personally.
SC3's having 7 or 8 IMO was too cheap but since it wasn't that good,I thought MKA was much better honestly and SC3 wasn't online it wasn't that big of a deal but say SC4 has KAK and the same amount per profile and it's online that will be dumb and piss off lots of people....
