Kenshi is in a screenshot in the mag. Oh, and Nightwolf has also been confirmed as there is a pic of him as well. When asked about the story for Deception Boon had this to say: "MK: Deception's story picks up right where Deadly Alliance left off, literally. Right off the bat, players will see what happens to the Deadly Alliance of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, as well as finally being introduced to the Dragon King, who is our new boss character. The word "Deception" has multiple meanings in the latest MK. Characters will be deceieved and magazine editors will be deceived-just kidding. One of our goals in MK Deception will be to never let the player feel like he can predict where the story is heading, so we have a lot of twists in directions that not may will be able to guess."

Any description on how the gameplay has chaged aside from the stage interaction?

If it picks up right from where mkda left off from, then how have all these characters liek suby gone through such big changes? I'm confused , i mean sub looks like it took some time for him to look like how he does right now.

It is indeed a full body shot of Sindel. She has her long hair still, and is wearing what resembles what Mileena is wearing the pic from IGN. Another pic shows what LOOKS like Kitana, but I am not sure about that. And as for the "Adventure Mode" that is just what PSM is calling the Konquest Mode. It is a training ground as well as Konquest. They say it could be the single best reason to buy this game. They say some secrets regarding Konquest will remain hidden for a long time after the game has come out. The character you create in Konquest will age, and you can put decorative items on them and use them on any other mode in the game as well as online!!!

I'm so happy and hyper right now that i cant control myself.
By the way, which subzero is it? The younger one from MKDA or the older one?

The three fighting styles per character is virtually untouched in the game. They say the arenas are HUGE, and the background weapons are unique to the stages, and inflict more damage than the character's normal weapons. Each background weapon has its own set of moves, and as long as its being held, those are the only moves a character can perform. If you switch styles or get knocked to the ground, the weapon will drop. Advantageous items like weapons are marked green, while dangerous areas are marked red.
It looks as though the Stage Fatalities are being renamed Death Traps. In one arena, when an opponent is knocked into a red pane of glass, they will get eaten alive by thousands of insects.
The person who posted about the Hari Kari moves being about inflicting pain unto yourself is right. "We've even heard of new "hari kari" moves:self-inflicted fatalities that you can perform to deny your opponent the satisfaction of killing you. Once the words "Finish Him!" appear, it will be a race to see who's got the fastest fingers.
Also the Krypt is back along with earning koins.

It appears as though the Sub-Zero from Deadly Alliance is the same one returning in Deception. They don't go into much detail about that unfortunately. The level screenshots look simply amazing. "First off, the levels are simply HUGE. The stages are multi-tiered, offering several floors of beat 'em up space. Imagine the multi-leveled battle fields of the Dead or Alive series, but with more imagination and interaction. Sometimes you'll simply knock a guy off a ledge for a 50-foot drop, and other times you'll wage war floor by floor until you reach certain death at the bottom. Each arena has its own unique ways to go between levels, and players will be challenged to take full advantage of this feature.
There are also lesser dangers hidden throughout the stages. They have fire that can damage you, and one example they give is of a powerful weapon being behind one of these Death Traps or other dangers tempting the player to grab it. Brilliant!!! The meatgrinder from the trailer is indeed part of the Slaughterhous arena. You can knock the bodies hanging from the ceiling into your opponent causing damage. Another danger example they give is an arena where if you get close enough to the sides, you will get grabbed by people through bars with "pointy teeth" and do a bit of damage.

uhh when you say the 3 styles of fighting is untouched does that mean the game mechanics are the same as MKDA, or have they been improved with much a much deeper style of play (better reversals, more custamizable combos, faster gameplay, pretty much what is in fighting games these days). because this game has lots of potential, and it would be dissapointing if they kept the fighting the same, shallow way like it was on DA.

This is fackin awesome. Now i can sleep knowing that the younger subby is back, AND that this is a sequal. Thanks for the info, greatly appriciated.

About the play mechanics: "We got such a positive response from the three fighting styles that we have kept the feature in MK:Deception, but are expanding on the idea. The control of your character has been tightened up quite a bit and maneuvering your character around the background is faster and easier as well. With the introduction of weapons in the background (each with its own fighting style), damage regions, and death traps, we are tyring to make the environment that you fight in to be as influential to the outcome of the fight as the characters that were selected." Coming straight from Boon's mouth.
The side games sound crazy!! "Details are still sketchy on the exact rules, but here's what we know: you get to pick which character you place around the board, and when opposing sides come into contact, you'll enter an arena wehre the two characters can fight it out under the same rules as the normal versus mode. This demands a unique mix of board strategy and fighting game skill, and is a great reaons to learn multiple characters really well." They are talking about the strategy mini-game there.
On Puzzle Kombat: "We don't have all the details on exactly how this one plays, either, but it's fair to say that fans of Capcom's Super Puzzle Fighter should be very happy. For the first time, pint-sized "super deformed" versions of classic MK characters will appear, each offering their own unique strengths and weaknesses at puzzle playing. As an added bonus, each round ends with a fatality - on the board shown to the right, a giant spikey anvil crushes the loser from above. Can you just imagine playing this freakin' thing online."
