indeed, Like I said before on another thread, this is the first MK since DA that I've heard many people at school talking about.

that's right, here in Mexico, where I live, all my friends love the game, the come to my place to knock or kill the fuck off of everybody haha =)

I respect the opinion of who likes this game, but the truth is that is the Mortal Kombat game that was less discussed about after the release of the game

I really like those times in Deadly Alliance, with the koffins to unlock character, everyone talking about, in Deception those coordinates to find chests... Memorable days.

agree more with zidane...in mk vs dcu after ending the game with all chars and the storymode there's nothing left to do.

except enjoy the fighting game part of course... not that fighting games are ever about fighting or good gameplay - no, fighting games are about retards taking out their aggression with head ripping and coffin unlocking

yeah, all the 3D mk games have really deep and entertaining fighting engines that makes content an unneeded bonus... wait, not they don't.

The reviews I hear from my gaming friends have been mostly mixed, but I sorta expected that.

What I didn't expect was for the forum to be dead less than a month after the release. THAT'S a bad sign. I remember the day when MK:D was released and the mods were swamped well past December with new users, flame wars, and spoiler posts. A lot has changed. Despite the early reactions, I really was convinced most MK fans were going to buy this game. It doesn't look like that's the case.

Despite all the horrible things I said in the past about MKvsDC, I was hoping it would sell. Just because I didn't like the concept doesn't mean I don't look forward to more MK games.

and that is the problem with the mk fanbase we whine, moan, bitch and complain when we dont get blood and gore in an mk game it could be better than street fighter4 and it would suck because "it doesn't have enough blood in it"

just letting you guys know ... the forum is dead on this site ... not only that we are playing the game hardcore practically everyday ... we are flaming each other ... saying good games to each other .... and all the good/bad stuff that used to happen here on MKD and MKA days ... it's just going on in another site with more freedom of expression.
but yeah ... it's still an MK game and it doesn't have much depth to it and they didn't give us what we have been waiting for... they never do.

Yeah I got both of my friends to buy it and a couple of my friends on my street are talking about it

right because every other fighting game has to sacrifice costumes and extras for half way decent gameplay. no wait that's just MK.
i mean people talk like the fighting engine in this game is fanfuckingtastic. like it's a VF killer or something. it still plays worse than ever other major fighting game out. who manage to have more than one costume, the ability to edit outfits and plenty of extras and replay value AND a good fighting system.

that being said i don't think a few people saying the game looks cool is good new unless they actually buy the game and convince others to buy the game and so on and so forth.
i'm still having fun with this game so. yeah.

I have never, EVER seen a single person on ANY board state that this fighting engine is better than another popular franchise's engine.

However... I have heard it stated many many times how this fighting engine is superior to the last several games in the MK series.

I thought it was a cool concept but that's because I am a big GL fan anyways.
