In the MK1, MK2, and MK3/UMK3/Trilogy days, they of course had the animated character stances when you highlighted a character.

Well, for MK6 I think they should bring back the animated characters when you highlight the character on the character select screen, but they should give each character a short combo of punches and kicks to do when you highlight the character and select them. It would look really cool in 3D... Like, select Scorpion and he does like a 3 or 4 hit combo of hits to the air.. Or maybe throws his spear at the screen... They should do this instead of having them jump into their win pose when you select them.

What do you think? And if anyone knows what i'm talking about but can explain it alot better than I did, please do. grin

Sounds good!

I didn't like how MKDA's select screen was with the character renders and plain blue background. They should just put the dark marble background from MK2.

I like the way your thinking, good idea
i like the throw spear idead, that would be funny.

but that really wouldnt matter to me how they are, if they would stop making the modleas on the side so big, they would have more room to make characters/.

Both ideas are fine with me. If they wanna bring back the classic screen, thats cool. If they wanna do it MKDA style, im cool with that too.

Good idea. Each character can do a short combo that flows from style to style, showcasing their abilities (and weapons).

Yeah, they should be able to do it. On PC, they do it on games like Unreal and Quake. They would have to load all the character models up front. Have to wait when the game first turns on.

IN MKDA, that's what loads before each roud.

But if they do do the character animations on the select screen, then that would mean that they load up all the character models AND Shang Tsung would have his Morphing capabilities if he is included in MKD. So would Nightwolf.

i loved the music for the character select screen in Mk :DA ! hopes its as good as MK:D
It could be like the little animations they had for MK1. Remember when the bios came up.

They did that in Kakuto chojin, and they sort of have it for Tekken Tag.

It looks pretty cool.

I want a character select screen that doesn't slow down from loading animation or big glitz. I think a good idea is some special art to represent who you pick. Not renders or anything but some drawn artwork. Like seeing scorpion art but with a hell background.
