post ideas for gameplay mechanics that you hope will be in this game or in future games.


I think it would be badass in klose kombat that instead of like pressing the right button, your fists can be controlled with the 2 sticks (one for each fist) like fight night (too bad it's copywrited). and as soon as the someone takes enough damage or gets knocked down the klose kombat ends.



that'd be awesome. also, a test your might that actually makes a difference. if you win it, you reverse it.. if you lose, the opponent beats you around a little, if noone wins, you just kind of escape




also, a weirder one i was thinking about was another klose kombat type thing, where the two people are fighting on the ground.. and the two character's sprites pop up at the bottom, and whoever wins the fight wins the ground kombat.
It'd never work.. but it's an idea

those are good ideas. i think superman shoud fly people through the wall instead of running. or he can punch someone really hard and they just fly through the building just like the cartoon

i wonder if u can do combos on close combat but that is something i would look into nice awsome idea mabdogwink

from what i am seeing in the fight footage it appears that batman will have a limited amount of special moves..i think we might not have picked the fly kick where he lunges himself at the opponent then fly-kicks them, which was a special mmove for a character in one of the more recent games..i cant remember which one(character)...i would like to see him use his grappling hook, he could shoot it onto the ceiling the swing on it and boot the opponent..or he could shoot it at the wall behind the opponent and use it to lung himself at them then fly kick while still in motion..somewhat like mavado's grappling hook move..what do you guys think?

superman should fly his opponent high in the air and dive with them back down to the ground. he could also throw his opponent in the air and then use his laser eye. and when the laser eye hits them, they go flying through the building and superman comes out on the otherside before they do and knock'em down to the ground. transaction baby!!!!

i like the sound of the sticks for each arm, would be cool.
yeah.



also.. what about like a far kombat (as well as klose kombat). like.. you throw the opponent and then it goes into mortal kombat shaolin monks style fighting.

I think close combat would be pretty cool if like you had to press a lot of random buttons faster then you're opponent and when you do it shows the person who pressed them first beat the hell out of the opponent in a really fast, detailed scene, and each character would have a different fight scene.

Kool ideas.MK team should listen to ideas like those.I mean, klose and freefall kombat are good ideas but very limited - only 4 different types of attacks.
I bet booN and co will upgrade the fighting mechanic in MK 9, but 4 now we just have to enjoy the unfinished MK 8 - like we did with all the previews MKs.

4 once MIDWAY, give the MK Team atleast 3.5 years for developing the next MK

Well i think the game will be good if it is done right, it will definitely be a good one to pull out when the friends are over.

But It's not going to blow me away since it isn't a canon MK game.
it will be the most fun fighting of any mk game ever.

but the replay value is pretty low.




anyway, i got more ideas..

interactive deathtraps:

I think freefall kombat onto a deathtrap would be cool (loser dies) and also, the super bars should be harder to fill with these.


also, interactive arena grabs, and fatalities.

like every character could have a few grabs that automatically go if the people are fighting near a wall

and fatalities that have a test your might in them, too.



also, button combination arena fatalities. they're a lot cooler, and more complex.. and arena specific, rather than character specific.






and of course, weapon kombat.. where you grab someone, and you both whip out weapons and fight it out for a while until one of you loses the weapon. the other gets to keep his.
yeah.. i didn't really like that last idea either.

The DragonBall games have something like that.

I think it's initiated off a clash, where both fighters attack at the same time. They go in to the super speed combo sequence back and forth while in the air. You have to tap the buttons fast, like the test your might in MK VS DCU.

I don't play dragon ball games much, but I think that's how it goes more or less.

Yeah something like that man... i think it'd be killer, especially since people like the whole test your might thing anyways.
I was hoping for the close combat to look more like what they did with the Bourne Conspiracy special grapples.

Have it work like a throw chain and throw escape system. Sort of what they have now, but with cooler looking animations. Like if you press punch, you might get a quick punch flurry that the opponent would take hits from or block like in the movies.

No pause after landing the move either, either you buffer it in to another one instantly or the close combat sequence ends. I don't like the stop and go look of the close combat in MK VS DCU.
and also that other thing fro the bourne conspiracy where you throw them into a nearby wall if you're near one

i think it would be cool if you could pull off some sought of super special move in close combat..soughta like freefall...superman grabs the opponent by the neck charges upa eye laser the blasts them from close range
yeah. some kind of badass takedown ALSO if we ever have weapons again, i would want the character to dodge the strikes, rather than block them.. because blocking swords and things is just plain stupid

yeah i also thought blocking a sword with your arm could hurt just a little
yeah. it would be a little painful
