Nothing new.

It seems Catwoman will be treated as a villain...even if that isn't an accurate labeling of her character. Also, she was referred to as the "sexy villainess" after all. I guess it'll be not that different than Scorpion being treated like a villain...even though he really isn't one either.

Downloadable content sounds cool. If they do it, I hope Sareena is among them.

How much is reasonable? I don't think I've ever had to download any content for a fighting game... What's the price range for... say, a character, a costume, some fatalities, a few levels, maybe a mixed bundle of all or some.

I'm willing to cough up $5 maybe $10 for a character-- as long as the character is legibly added to the game. I'm talking, his/her own storyline, shao kahn announcing his name, unique fatality, etc...

God I hope this game comes with custom soundtracks.

Haha yeah for real. But when they do add like character packs itll be like a pack of 4 for 10 dollars. And like a few alt outfit packs (for specific characters like an MK pack and a DC pack.). They better not charge an outrageous amount for everything.

If this game wasn't Teen rated we might see Catwoman's Fatality involving clawing out the opponent's eyes or some kind of bloody and violent clawing fatality.

I guess maybe she'll just use her whip to break the neck instantly with a wrap move.

Well, a reasonable price for me would be between $5-$10. $5 for 1 character would be way too much, it would either have to be a pair of characters for $5 (400 MS Points) or $10 (800 MS Points) for a pack of 4. I'd prefer if everything was bundled.

I know some games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance which added 8 additional characters, and were sold as pack of 4 for $6.25 (500 MS Points) each pack, or you could have both packs for $10.00 saving yourself a couple of bucks if you bought them seperately.

They even appeared in the select screen and all the sounds were there for them. So Im sure it would be possible to be done for MKvs Dc as well, that is if they integrate some sort of system for it to begin with.

About Catwoman; yeah it's kinda wrong for the team to consider her a villain, as pretty much any modern portrayal pf her has her protecting the helpless and stealing from crime bosses and such, and the only time I can remember her killing anyone was the time she shot Black Mask in the face, and let's face it, he really deserved it. Ah well, the DC side seems a little too light on the villainy side anyways, I'll take what they give us. As for her fatality, what'll she do? Hang them with her whip? Scratch them a hell of a lot? Make them watch the Halle Berry movie? It's not like her gimmick has too many ways to be fatal.

As for downloadable characters, I hope to God it's not half assed. Best case scenario would be like Marvel Ultimate Alliance; completely unique downloadable heroes and villains. Worst case would be like the bonus aircraft in Ace Combat 6 (Great Game, Fucking terrible DLC); just new skins with changed stats. But frankly, a lot of DLC seems more half assed than fully realized; even big titles like Bioshock make me regret spending money for the DLC, and the Halo Maps, while fun, are mostly retreads and are not worth the full cost.

Downloadable Characters YAY

IGN thought it was worthy enough to reupload in another location, and I found it worthy enough to post on. Mostly because, as stated, people were not aware of this video and it does answer a few questions that I have seen asked in threads around here today. That was the main reason I decided to post on it. The alternate costume thing has been big lately, as well as who or what the boss was going to be.

I don't post news for people to comment how old or relevant it is; I post it when I think it's helpful, and I thought this was. Do stay on topic, please.

Will this downloadable stuff make the game not rated. Do you think that we could download "M" rated Fatalitys.

Question for those of you that metioned above about DLC dose it change the select screen? Dose their icon apear or do you select another character?

Since there'll be multiple finishers, I think they should just give Catwoman a fatality and a brutality to blend out her neutrality. Problem solved.

To be honest, I'd rather not have DLC. I really don't like constantly adding on to a game and I like having the complete package from the get-go. If they think of add-ons...Put it in the next game. Seriously. If it's to fix problems with online and problems with the infinites and stuff, then yeah, I'd enjoy that.

Well, patches are a nobrainer that every online game should have as far as I'm concerned.
