Wait Wait Wait!!! Did anyone else besides me see the Kitana vs. Kano fight? Kitnana kicked Kano's ass. Then out of no where she gets send flying across the battlefield by someone...

Okay, yes the action looks impressive, but I really hope this isn't the story that they are dumping on us. It just doesn't make sense to throw away the story that the last 2 games have built up so well for this.

Anyway who is running next to Onaga (behind Dairou) at 35 sec. It looks like a woman, but you don't get a clear shot. Thought Sareena or Nitara, but it doesn't really look like them. Edit: NVM, upon further inspection I believe it is Tanya.

Jax was funny, Stryker was like I'm rich b**tch, and Kahn got eaten by Onaga JC style. Too funny!!!

it was kintaro who sent her flying, only clip of him, kenshi and quan chi fight was awsome, thought kenshi would win, sheeva was owning for abit,and shang tsung seemed to be overpowered in the intro. kahn going on a hammer swinging rampage

The vibe im getting from this game is like the opening to god of war.

Where it seem's that kratos is going to kill him self by jumping from the cliff but indeed it was just what he wanted but later after the game it's totally not existint.

I think this is the approach im getting.

if thats the case wouldn't everyone that got knocked off the pyramid be dead and not just cyrax.
and i'm almost possitive that jax didn't die from the one hammer strike same thing with baraka, he looked fine after getting stabbed and used a special, samething with bo rai cho i think he's fine too.
stryker also i doubt that one move killed him. also i don't think darrius died from that smack and impact either. but li mei...that did look very serious.

He said injured...not dead. And cyrax has the best chance of surviving a fall like that.

With the absence of taven and daegon, I think this intro is not canon. Characters appearances amongst other things would support this theory. All in all as long as the intro kicked ass it reallly doesn't matter if it addresses the story, and this intro kicked ass. Maybe this is just a trailer.

all I got to say is......HOLY SHIT, I don't care what anyone says that was the best damn intro in the history of video games. Some people will disagree but I don't give a flyin crap what you think!!. Best intro ever, Midway you guys ROCK!!!!

This can't be the true opening video. It doesn't explain crap about the true ending(s) of Deception, nevermind why guys like Mavado are back.

Regardless, it was AWESOME eyecandy. This is most definitely the highlight of the week for me.

What you have to consider is....the fact that all that happens is the normal fighting that happens in the game. Impalements, long falls, big hits etc. yet they allways seem ok after all that.

I think kenshi's dead. I also think li mei is dead (she gets stabbed at the beginning... and.... doesn't get up after that. I don't know.. Shao got carried away by onaga... I don't think things are looking too good for him. Let's see, stryker didn't seem to want to get up after that lazer.

I like how all we see of shujinko is him getting knocked off the pyramid in one punch.

I have some comments on the trailer. First of all, it was sick. I LOVED all the parts in the fighting, especially Raiden blasting Shinnok with his lightning, that was sick. I also <3 the HILARIOUS things in the trailer, like Shang Tsung becoming an old-ass geezer, after Liu Kang chokes him with his chains, which he uses as nun-chakus. Also, I thought it was HELLA funny, when Onaga stole Kahn!!!!!! That was teh-uber funny!! I haven't posted here in the MKA section of teh uber-cool forum lately, so I definatelyam loving making more threads. I would love to hear from you guys on the trailer. Also, something barely noticable, however, I noticed it. WATCH the VERY beginning. There is a guy (Or woman, whatever), on top of the mountain/hill/etc., in the background. This person is, if you look here, IN the top-left of the screen, on the mountain. Just who do you think it might be? Post your thoughts and opinions, people!!
