I like the idea of combining Noob and Smoke, but I hope they change the name. They should have some story of how both were caught in some vortex/spell/etc etc and merged into one. There are alot of paths to take with that story.

As for Shujinko, I don't know how good it will be if he is selectable online. Too many newbs will use him. Of course, even with alot of moves, he could still be beaten easily by an average player.

Noob Smoke... makes me think of Kazuya in Tekken Tag where you pressed L3 and Kazuya turned into Devil onscreen, maybe its similar?

As for Shujinko I like the idea and in the right hands he could be very uber indeed, now i wonder if you can choose Shujinko's fatalities from ones already present in the game? Here's hoping so.

This new info would give players using Shujinko a countless number of techniques and strategies to pick from. I knew from the day we got the quote from Boon, that Noob and Smoke would be a tag team. I think it's awesome and very unique. Can't wait for the story. My only complaint on Noob Smoke, is that his name isn't Smokin' Noob

I kinda have this idea in my head that instead of changing styles you would like "change character", like Noob/Smoke would take over the shared body and fight differently to the other one.
Meh, that's just my vision anyway.

Still, will have to wait to see how this turns out before I judge it.

That Noob Smoke thing doesn’t bother me so much as long as it gets a new name.

But about Shujinko having all the moves that sucks I mean; I don’t see Shujinko’s old ass pulling of Johnny Cage’s Shadow Kick or Sonya’s Leg Grab lol. Then I think I would be better if you could assign a couple of moves to him in Konquest mode.

Now with this Noob Smoke thing we know all the 24 characters on the select screen including Raiden.

This also means the roster ended up exactly how they said it would: 10 old school, 6 from MKDA and 8 new characters.


I have basically lost any faith I had left in the Sektor stuff. Looking more and more likely the "cyber ninja" on the selection screen was someone else.

it makes sense if they fused, i guess. if you look at the noob alt. costume, he has human skin. even though smoke was a robot i guess he still had some human qualities; cyborgs - half robot, half human.

the only thing im concerned about is rain, i hope he makes it into the game. and cage... i hope he isnt dead. hes my favorite character.

I think this noobsmoke thing is interesting

Probably it will work like tekken tag or marvel vs capcom2. and probably their half body render in the selection screen will be smoke with noob to the left or right of him of him.

Think about it though this could be like a character with 4 fatalites 4 or six costumes, six fighting styles, and six to eight special moves. When you select the character they should let you choose the outfit you want for noob, then the outfit for smoke. Then when it is time for a fatality, you could be noob, and have his two, or smoke and have his. This could acually be pretty cool

From all the screen caps I have seen I haven't been impressed with the look of any of them anyhow. I think it will be a highly disappointing character.

I think that the Shujinko news will be very good in customizing the character.
And I'm doing all kinds of stuff here coming up with a better name for the hybrid then Noob Smoke, though I don't have much problem with that name.

I was expecting shujinko to have everyones specials anyhow..but remember you will have to learn them all..which will take time until guides come out (which im gonna try not to use lol) anyways i got like an awesome combination and i cant wait to try it...at least everyone will be able to do what they want

on the noob smoke issue they should fuse the name more and this is just like kazuya and devil in tekken you will probably poof into smoke and become noob or smoke...then what will the weapon be? maybe a scythe still lol...anyways i cant wait to see keep up good work and lets try to keep open minds people! Well, we all wanted an explaination to why Noob had why skin instead of his jet black skin... he and smoke are fused.
