well then do not play it. you really need to play mk2 again if you are gonna try to use that as a basis of realistic fatals and ones that do not copy each other. when kitana kisses you and you blow-up...when shang enters your ear and you blow-up...i guess the explosion that happens isnt the same. so how dare hotaru and ermac have fatals that end with the same explosion.
when you get some pubes, you go try making a videogame. and you can also spend years making explosions 100% unique to each fighter.

Like I said, those particular fatalies, were balls. Maybe there's some really cool ones, like Scorpion's or Sub-Zero's...
But the ones in that trailer? They're the same, if not worse then MKDA.

what! yes i didnt like the mkda fatalities but i think those were awesome. bo rai chos looked awesome...i bet their face will be all burned to crisp. li meis or whoever that is is doing an awesome brutality like fatality. i thought they all looked cool. i didnt like that they showed us both of mileenas though. now we wont be surprised with hers at all.
It is kinda strange that they showed both of Mileenas fatalities. Did they say they say that everyone has 2, or has at LEAST 2 fatalities? It'd be kinda cool if the one with the leg ripping was actually someone elses fatality (a new character maybe) using the Mileena model instead.

"In my years of ancient samurai training, I will grab your leg, and smash you like a dead fish." It be cool if he could take out his sword, or whatever default weapon he has, take a few lighting cuts around his opponent's body. Sheath his sword, then watch as the person's body falls apart like meat cutlets. If all of MKD's fatals are like the one's shown in the trailer...then me, as a Cube owner, well, I'm not missing out on much. |
I'm glad that all you people are bitching about the fatalities.That's the reason MK keeps getting better and better.If nobody bitched about MK4 then MK:DA would have sucked ass beause the creators would have thought nothing was wrong.If nobody bitched about MK:DA,MK:Deception wouldn't be as cool as it is right now.So everybody bitching can only lead to a better game.So I'm glad everyone is bitching,it's because of you MK is so great right now.
IMO the fatalitys were great and I'm glad to see people complain because that means the fatalitys will only get better.

this is my first post here. I got just registerd, although I already are a long time familiar with this website. But this time I just had to respond.
First, what Jashugan all said, most of them I agree with him. Some of you people are just way to easy satisfied. I'm a die-hard fan of mortal kombat, so i know realism isn't always 'realism' in mk, but certain parts they better can keep an eye on it. Like the part where Scorpion kicks BoRaiCho upwards through the ceiling and back down. Ohh come-on, that kick didn't even go upwards. It's not that it's unrealisticly that bothers me, because I like that, to let them see all the corners of the level. But it was a forward kick, so let him fly hundreds of meters backwards instead of upwards.
The fatalities part. It are only a few of them, but I hope they get better and more gruesome. There is no 'emotion', no 'fear' in it. Maybe it's also because of that stupid noise they play with it. In the second trailer you can hear it is still the one of mk:da. Hope they change that, they must get a tone like they did in mk1 and mk2. Now those said "here comes something terrifying". That fatality sound from mk:da said more like "oh, something magicly is going to happen".
Oh yeah, befor i forget, I loved the stage pit fatality (although a few more angles would be better, more angles that let you feel that YOU are falling down), but ... there's always a but
, my god scream harder. You are falling like I don't know how deep and he just screams " ohhhh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh". C'mon, let them scream there lungs out (not litterly, knowing mk they maybe would take this litterly
), let it be a real scream of terror.
To the person who posted in this thread something about that blocking, that they don't just stand there now. Well, if you didn't notice it, mk:da also didn't have regular blocking, they would also move along with the hits.

. No bad word on anyone, but die-hard fans, it doesn't mean that if you give some bad pointers to the game, that you're less of a fan. I think everyone just wants the best mk possible. And if you read some reviews, you know Ed Boon also watches fans-websites and looks at the critiques. So now that the game still is in process, you can still do something about it. I think Ed Boon definitly follows this website, because I think this is one of the best and most up-to-date website of mk.

I think these fatalitys are the best I've ever seen.They're creative and violent.
BTW,thanks for making MK as good as it is today

and some of you are way too jaded and nit-picky. no matter if boon did every single thing the mk fansites moan about...you will still shit your pants with complaints because its what some people live to do. if you didnt have any thing to complain about you would have no purpose in life. games are all about fun and enjoyment. the fighting engine in mkda was very fun and thats the bottom-line. so long as mkd is fun, everything shown so far is icing on the cake.

There, now you're Happy! Tons of Fatalities and finishers and they are all pretty great!
Personally, I would love MK even if it didn't have Fatalities anymore, but then that's just me and my evolving tastes.
For me, the Fatalities drew my attention to the game series from Day one, but it was the gameplay that kept me with the series after MK2 was released, not the Fatalities. *shrugs*
