Everyone keeps complaining about the number of Ninjas. But does anyone know the total number of playable characters yet? Im assuming they will outdo MK:DA.
So if thats the case. 6 out of 20+ Characters is no big deal.

Decided to put my two cents worth in.

The game looks awesome but I'm dissapointed that Smoke might not be in it yet Ermac and Noob are. I mean think about it for a second. Smoke appeared as a real character in MK2. Ermac was a glitch that turned Scorpion red and his name is short for Error Macro. Noob was just a play on the creators last names and one of them is no longer part of the MK team.

So how is it that these two characters make it back when Smoke who was Sub-Zero's best friend in the Lin Kuei who was turned into a cyborg and programmed to kill his best friend not make a return befor Ermac and Noob?

No disrespect to those who like Noob or Ermac but come on now, you can clearly see why I'll be very pissed and frustrated if Smoke doesn't return considering all the other returning characters from MK:DA and now MKD. Alright I'll end my rant for now about Smoke.

Anyway's the game looks to use the same fighting engine but I hope they tweak it too make it smoother and give longer combos in only one fight style instead of having to switch styles to go for more than like a 4 hit combo. I'm not really feelin Sub's Alt. but I'm sure it will grow on me like his old white haired default grew on me in MK:DA. Oh, and I don't mind all the Ninja's if you couldn't guess by my name.

The Sky Temple looks awesome! The game continues to get better with each press release!

Do notice that whenever Ermac appears there is no GREEN BLOOD, even when he's performed a stage fatality on. Ermac's blood is red, just face it.

I hope its subby's alternate look, cuz its one of the dopest looks in MK ever. Not 2 much thingy's hanging on the costume and it got a chinese feel to it...wicked design. If all the looks were this good!!!

I love Subby's little fur ruffle around his neck... How can that not be him? Or maybe Frost's and his kid.

I don't think the ponytail guy is subby though.. looks to skinny.. and I don't think Sub see sub as a ponytailed bald guy looks more like Fujin or Dairou.. but time will tell I guess.. besides... doens't his stance look a wheeee bit different from sub's? (look at his hands) love Ermac's shinobi look and of course the new subzero outfit (loooove the polar bear skin in the render, just a detail but I love it...) And the temple looks awesome and the slaughterhouse looks awesome and Mileena looks awesome and... GOD DAMNED EVERYTHING LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that they had so much planned for MKDA, but could not because of time and budget. So MKD is like the full version while MKDA is a "alpha" version for MKD. I had a hard time kicking a$$ in MKDA. I think MKD will be SO MUCH MORE FUN than just winning.

That helmet is not exclusive to Shredder. In fact that's just an asian warrior's helmet. Do you honestly think they would copy shredder? It's really not a big deal, it makes Sub Zero look wayyyy more warrior like. And the alternate you see is simply a helmetless less shnazzy-yet-shnazzy Sub Zero. Very cool stuff indeed..

OMG!!! i cant wait 4 that issue to come out. That it only 1 page of the article where it says 10 pages on the covor. I cant wait to see what else they have, maybe more guys. I hope Sindel is in here sum where :)

I don't know but the blue guy with the white hair reminds me of Fujin. It would be nice to put another god in the game.

I'd like to hear about some of the good guys. (I'm, the moron that looked at a low-res, grainy video and thought Baraka was Cage...lol) I just recently realized that I prefer the good guys, rather than the bad. Though Baraka and such are cool, I'm not too terribly interested in the game, yet.

Well, you could also say that Smoke was yet another ninja, gray this time, that was basically a carbon copy (get it?) of Scorpion.

Why are some of you still bitching about pallet swaps? This is not umk3. In MkD the characters each have individual models and look NOTHING like eachother. Ninjas are awesome!

And besides, they've only shown a small group of the characters so far. There is more to come, hopefully not too much too soon though...

Yes...ninjas rule. They are nothing like each other anymore, they are their own.

By the way, is it just me, or is Shogun Subby holding a Shuriken in one of the pics? Where he's fighting Baraka?

I kinda hope that they dont give everything away about the game because then ur not as excited anymore. So i hope that they just give us enough info to make good questions not the whole game.

Wow I'm really impressed with what I saw:
1.Sub Zero's render on the front page looks f**cking great...
2.I think the graphics changed; they get rid of the plastic looking characters in MK:DA.
If you look closely to the sub-baraka pic the lightining has a great reflection on the floor.

MK:DA really looks like an alpha compared to what I saw great work MIDWAY....

And the THERE A LOT OF NINJAS thing: you remember playing MORTAL KOMBAT in arcade: Reptile was a myth for me till I saw him, and I don't remember seeing such a thing before MORTAL KOMBAT. Guess what he was in MK2 when I first saw him I said: "Oh my god". I think MIDWAY is trying to do samething Myth characters are back Ermac, Noob Saibot (As they were not CLEARLY presented before as main characters) and I'm really happy with them

When you look MK there were 2 ninjas out of 7 characters and nobody complained about it.If we will have 20+ characters we at least can have 6 ninjas... You got my point?

But I don't want 500+ characters. I want quality. I don't want a character who looks like baloon with crappy fighting styles called Hsu Hao...
When you play MK with Sub Zero you feel like him or When you play MK with Scorpion you feel like Scorpion I want this feeling back where I got this feeling in MK:DA with Scorpion... :)
and I don't want neck streching fatalities (MK:DA Quan Chi) I want fatalities like Head Ripping, Toasty, Kung Lao's famous hat slice....

Please put some serious effort in animation I think (You can disagree) in MK:DA the best looking (the most fluid looking) style is Scorpion's Hapkido (I look like an Scorpion fan but I liked the design of Frost but her fighting styles are not that good)

My friends never play MK:DA with me, they want to play Tekken 4 and Soul Calibur 2 Why? Because They can win. I think you must put in some simple 2-3 hit combos or bring back sweep and uppercut and lower the learning curve as the game becomes very boring when there is nobody to fight...

MK1: Goro's Lair
MK2: Pit 2, Acid Pool(bath), Armory, Living Forest
MK3: The Church, Shao Kahn's place :) (the last stage)

I agree with you. For me Reptile was myth too. And I never fought him on my Genesis version of MK1 ( just before MK2 ). But then MK2 came along ( demo for PC where you could choose only Reptile ) and I was something like: " OMG ! It's reptile. Its's realy HIM !!!!! And when I bought MK2 for Genesis i choose him first. And I'm happy that characters like ermac, Noob and Baraka came back. They were great but now they are looking even better. Baraka with big blades and ermac in Shinobi costume. wow. If all ninjas will have diffrent costume I just can't see any problem. And as we can see sub, ermac and Noob are diffrent.

ummm first of all, that sub zero omfg, wat a disappointment, that is the cheapest and uglyest looking sub zero ever, i rather play as the one on the on mk advance, and anyway everybody thinks sub looks great, i think he is the dumbest thing and that pic makes me have doubts bout the other characters outfits and models. how could u say that sub looks great, havent u seen the MKDA sub zero, the alternate outfit, that looks badass, with the ice arms and the mask kicked ass, not this shredder looking samerui,they shouldve made rain with that shredder helmet to make him look different from the rest of the ninjas, or a human reptile, and sub alternate outfit in deception, man he is ugly lol. he is bald headed with a pony tail on the back part of his head.and one of the pics shows him with a suriken, hmm thats wierd. in my opinion he looks really stupid in that outfit and to tell you the truth, after SEEING THE MKDA ALTERNAE OUTFIT,yea and scorpions defalut outfit, i dont think anything can get better then those. lets just hope scorpion doesnt look like a gay sameruis either. anyway they are early pics and the early pics of mkda were horrible and they changed big time for the better, so lets hope thats the case.

I think that Scorpion looks identical as in MKDA ( which is good )
