Deception? After Deadly Alliance I thought they'd have a better title. A rumour I heard said that the title was Deadly Alliance 2, so I guess Deception is better for now.

(That same rumour also said that Mileena and Baraka were back and that their concept art had been released. I checked it out but it was non-existant!)

Also 3 weeks ago they registered a name called "Slugfest Loaded", and just before that another name called "Narc"

MK:Deception.... What a name...

Anyways, I'm pretty sure MK6 will be a deception in some way... Not the entire game, but something will dissapoint us... They always do, they promise alot and they always give us a rushed, semi-finished product

Not liking the title is one thing... saying Why is another thing...

See, I donI mean, imagine if MK6:D is a flop... good the title will be true...

I would avoid it, but if they stick with that one, well the game can still be good!

Here i translated it to english for you guys.

Midway has had Mortal Kombat: Deception registered at the bureau of patents and product names. This will probably be the name of the new Mortal Kombat game which Midway has planned before the end of this year. If the name hints to the fact that the game it’s self will be a deception, is a matter we will find out soon. For Midway it’s already an important title, because the publisher hasn’t been able to accomplish any well selling titles before MKDA.

And those are mine own words ^_^

Damn that name sounds horrible, I'd rather them keep it as MK6. Damn I have a feeling this is going to be another unfinished game, I hope I wont be disappointed... again!

Deadly Alliance was more threatening..

just say DA 2, but then again, that would be redundant, because it wouldn't explain the next storyline.

I think Deception has something to do with the
story they are planning.

How do we know it's for MK6 and not for MK3? Personally I think MK6 will be called MK: ONLINE. Plus, Annihilation, Deception, it just makes more sense to be the upcoming film. Personally I'm not feeling that title regardless.

It sounds ok I guess. I thought the next MK would be named Mortal Kombat: Return of the Dragon King since it seems like much of the story will be based on him.

It's a weird name... but I remember that many people found "Deadly Alliance" more related to the 3rd film than MK5.

Also remember that registering "Mortal Kombat: Deception" doesn't mean the name will be that; Midway registered mkfive before registering mkda on the internet. It might be a POSSIBLE name.

If it was for MK3, then most like Midway wouldn't be the one who trademarked it.

That would be New Line Cinema, or Threshold's department.

At first it was amusing...then it just got annoying when trying to type MK:DA on MSN Messenger and whatnot.
