Wow wow the game hasnt been out yet and you guys are already disappointed?
then you claim that this will be an unfinished product?
Sometimes I think Im the only person here that thinks mkda was a finished project.

Well, thats the opinion of one arrogant person, not everyone elses. We have faith in the MK team and they will give us a better product than MK:DA, no matter how lame the title may seem..... to me n e way.

p.s. im not bagging out mk:da, just that mk6 (im not calling it mk:d until midway officially say it is) will be better.

How in the world is that arogance? I guess people cant stand the truth so they brand it as arrogant. Besides, I think there are alot of closet mkda lovers, I just think Im the only one that speaks out and takes the hits. The proof is in the sales, theres gotta be millions that like the game. Please think before you post, and tank you for your time.

I like MK:DA no doubt about that, all im saying is that person is foolish for thinking that the title is going to determine how good the game is. For example, MGS3: Snake Eater is a really lame name, but that doesn't make the game crap. The concept of hunting in the jungle as Big Boss ( i could b wrong about him) is brilliant. The graphics r beautiful. My point is that don't think that we r disappointed in MK6 just because of this subtitle that hasn't been officially confirmed. And I think YOU have to think b4 u post, because that wasn't wat i was saying at all. I hope this has explained it, as well as wat mister_satan_666 has said about mk:da being an "unfinished product".

MKDA was NOT complete. Was it good? Hellz yeah! Could it have been better? Yup. The MK team admitted that it could have been more; obviously there was content missing. Regardless, it was the best mk game in terms of gameplay.

As for MK6, forget the title; If you think the title will affect the game in any way, you have problems.

Mario 64. Good name? NO. Good game? REVOLUTIONARY GAME!!!

Again, you could name MK6 anything; the gameplay will be what it will, regardless of the title. If you can't see that, then you're ignorant. Period. This is coming from a person that HATES that title, but I do REALIZE it won't affect gameplay. AT ALL.

Mortal Kombat : Deception?
Yes, of course! Wow, sounds like the game's going to be really mysterious and cool and crap. Wow, totally unexpected, I'm sure the game will be so good it'll be unbelievable :D
And it's really original, I would've never thought of something like that. You know instead of MK Annihilation, or deadly alliance, or fatality or the return of the ultimate monster... If this is the official title for MK6 it's so cool. Now I can't wait for the game to come out! :)

The following is from MK Trilogy's story:

But Liu Kang and his comrades discovered an evil deception. The tournament was merely a diversion devised by the Dark Emperor, Shao Kahn, to break the rules set forth by the Elder Gods. The Dark Emperor would witness the reincarnation of his former Queen, Sindel. This unholy act gave Shao Kahn the power to step through the dimensional gates to reclaim his Queen and seize control of the Earth.

I know Kahn is 'missing' and so is Sindel, and I know I'm reaching here, but it does make me wonder..

VincentWolf has a good point. It's not the name that matters, it's how good the game is.

The name makes me wonder...could it be alluding to one of the Sorcerors deceiving the other in some way?

Could it be the means where Shao Kahn isn't actually dead and it was all a deception?

Or, could The ending where Kano becomes possessed with the Soul of Liu Kang be real?

Lots of other possibilities too, Frost being one wildcard, or even Sareena making an appearance and decieving Sub-Zero whom she was friends with in the past.

As long as MK6 is a great game, I don't really care what the name is. Deception sounds pretty cool, but it would be cooler if it was for the new MK movie, it just doesn't fit with MK6...

I personally don't see why they decided to start using subtitles instead of numbers. But as long as the game is good, then what's in a name, right?

Well I personaly don't like that subtitle for MK6. I think that is just like in MK:DA say, it would be one of the worst subtitles. For this things they have to register all the subtitles they think to prevent that any other game have that name on it and be exclusive.

For the MK:DA is not finish thing you can check in the kript that there was a character that was not included: Dariou, there are not stage fatalities, and other things but it was the best fighting game of the 2002 with a record of copies sold.

I hope that MK6 will be a great game and lets just wait for more information, screen shots and other type of info for this game.

Until later we only hope that the game will be a greate one.wow

I personally dont like the name deception, sounds like a name that a nerd would come up with in my opinion, but I will still buy it no matter what. Anyways MKDA IS complete. Just because it doesnt deliver on every little thing that was mentioned does not make it NOT complete. The fact is there are time limits and space restrictions and not every idea can make it into a game. Heck no game would be complete if you went by that reconing.

i think mkda going the subtitle route was best for the game. and subtitle will give future mk titles hints at possible plot in the storyline in the mk game is a way to go. subtitle give hints on what going to happen in game, the numbers dont tell a thing. and numbers doesnt give any indications on the what's it about of the game, and not to mention it doesnt make the game all that appealing. dont like or like either the numbers or the subtitle dont based your assumption the games going to suck. based on you dont liking the subtitle or numbers wait till the game comes out and play the game before you make that assumption. and besides subtitle route gives mk a fresh new start and make it make it more appealing. Mortal Kombat: Deception sounds pretty cool and will give some indications on whats going to come in the storyline. if there's any more mk games after that thats a good way to go subtitle.

I think MK:Deception is a good name for the game. Its better than a name like MK6. Duh! We know its MK6, just like we knew MK:DA was MK5 without the fact being shoved in our faces. The name rocks! Anyway, I'm guessing either Shang Tsung or Quan Chi "deceive" the other. Its the only place in the story that it could make sense. They are both dependant on each other for the alliance to work. Maybe they manage to bring the army of the Dragon King back to life, then Quan Chi says he's had enough of this crap and heads of with the dragon kings army to cause some hassle, in outworld or earthrealm or something!

Maybe one of the soldiers from the dragon kings army will be playable...just a thought! smile

I think that the actual deception that the title suggest could really end up being something that really throws the fans for a loop. Imagine if you will, that all the events that occured prior to MKDA were ruses used to steer away raiden and his fighters away from what was actually happening, Shao Khan faked his death at the hands of the deadly alliance in order to gain more time to revive the Dragon King in order to gain his strength in re-conquering the Earth Realm. And to add a real twist to the story, we find out that the true deception comes at the hands of Liu Kang who has been warped by his own sense of power and ego at winning the tournament and also faked his death and has now joined the forces of Shao Khan and has been given command of the armies of the Outworld.

The thing is, the intro to MKDA shows things as Raiden knows them, he did not actually witness any of these supposed deaths. That fact does leave a window for these deceptions to occur.

While that's true, the point is that we actually see the murder happen in the intro so that's pretty set in stone. I doubt the MK Team would be like, "Oops! Just kidding!". But you never know, maybe you're right. It's just really improbable.

And I think somewhere in Kung Lao's Konquest it says something about him coming across Liu Kang's body, but don't quote me on that since I don't really remember lol. But I think it says something about that.

Yeah I think it does actually now that I think about it. Still, personally I would love to see Liu Kang comeback as a badass evil character.

personaly i think it either A means that they are flat out blantently trying to cause talk over the name and for those who get it will know that was all it was released for. or maybe that will be PART of the new mortal kombat name...

like say......MK:Deception of The Dragon King (sounds corny)

or MK:Deception Awaits or..well you get my point.

it might be a lie
might be just trying to star tthe sturr of "it's almost here" feelings
or it could be a just PART of the title

personaly i like the title for it. makes it sound kinda like a "uh..i wonder what is gonna happen.." and shouldn't make you go

"ok this is gonna blow"

maybe the title for this game is a hint to
MK:7??

maybe they are gonna call it deception because maybe the dragon king is gonna win this round...
kill off most earth fighters...till you only have like maybe:
subby
scorpion
and raiden left (you know the vets. of the games)

then have:
smoke
sektor
cyrax
jade
ermac (who i think has great potential if used)
you know...the semi old charecters

then have like :
quan chi
drahman
shang tsung
shoa kahn
the most slightly new guys (since shang tech. might as well be a new charecter except witht he past of the old since he doesn't shape shift anymore and be how he used to)

then have like 10 new charecters fromt he game or something

cause 10 new aint bad..i mean you have 13 old ones....23 charecters to select isn't bad..

then since the dragon king might win...have them like go into like hiding (earth warriors that is)....then have like the dragonking be the main dude with his cronies...then have like shang and quan and all those who butted heads before kinda join forces witht he common bond...."kill the dragon king"

then when it happens...that is could be the intro for MK:7
