It's just the name of the game people, sheesh. Even though it's a stupid name it's not going to magically make the game suck or affect the gameplay so why does it matter?

Mortal Kombat: Deception sounds to me more like the name of the 3rd mortal kombat movie than the name of MK6 to me.

I can't wait for MK6. I dont care what the subtitle is for this game. MK6 gameplay should speak for itself.I still think Midway needs to show some screen shots of MK6 now to get the hype going.

Well, you probably are because MK:DA clearly was NOT a finished product by a long shot. At best it was 75% done when released.

It's annoying because ever since MK2 Midway has been doing this. Finish the game, then release it! It's really not too much to ask.

Well, thats the opinion of one arrogant person, not everyone elses. We have faith in the MK team and they will give us a better product than MK:DA, no matter how lame the title may seem..... to me n e way.

p.s. im not bagging out mk:da, just that mk6 (im not calling it mk:d until midway officially say it is) will be better.

since it's online, I think it should be titled 'MK: Online'. Not creative true, but the title gets straight to the point with one word and is 100x better than 'deception', which I think is a better title for the upcoming film.

Sounds more like the movie title to me, but as ]ombat pointed out New Line should/would have registered that. I don't really care what it's called so long as it's not MK:Online, i just can't stand the obsession with that, its almost as bad as the games for N64 (mario64, doom64 pilotwings64 etc..)

I think it is a movie name. But I don't find it so terrible anyway. Of course, I'd prefer simple MK-6, but I don't really care about the name, as far as the game itself is good. They can call it even: "MK: revenge of the flying shit" and if it's gonna be a good game, I'd play it.

And about MK:DA........ Maybe it wasn't finished (finished enough for me), but I think that is why MK6 is coming out so soon. Boon and his team has finished all they wanted to do in DA, and know they're making new game with the same engine and style. MK6 is goona be that, that MK:DA was supposed to be, only with new characters (A.e. -- "different from those, who were in DA").

I say throw away the STUPID subtitles and stick with the numbering systems. "Deadly Alliance" wasn't that great, and Deception is just about 100 times worse. MK6 is fine damn it.

Dude your not alone. I think MK: DA was a finished product. To me MK: DA is the best damn game I have ever played. Sure it might not have had alot of kontent as the past MKs, but that doesn't say anything about gameplay,sure extras are nice in the end we bought MK: DA as a fighting game. MK: Deception may or may not be the name. End the end fans of MK should buy the game for the gameplay.

I liked MK5 too but that doesn't mean that it was finished. "Liking" a game does not somehow "complete" it.

Stating that it wasn't finished is not a subjective opinion, it's an objective fact. It CLEARLY WAS NOT finished. It was missing several promised features, and other things in the game that were clearly meant to be developed (stage fatals, ripped clothing, brusing, drummer warrior, one fatality, better Krypt, lame hidden characters) were not!

As for outworld222's claims that the "coffins" were a sign of it being finished...Are you kidding me? That was the most blatantly obvious example of throwing together worthless crap at the last second.

Please let this debate end, there is a definitive answer.

Back on Topic: MK6 should be the title. Period.
