Interesting, I think it's good that they're focusing in just two consoles. (even though the GBA ports are another thing)

I guess GameCube users have a little hope
...
I don't think I'll miss much if there won't be a GBA version.
I think MK:TE is a nice "replacement", kind of.
But I really hope there will be a GameCube version.

Good! So there's still hope for us gamecube owners... Midway must be aware that Mortal Kombat is one of their top selling games in any platform, not adapting it to a platform instantly means profit losses for them; regardless of the fact that Gamecube was not a top-selling console for Mortal Kombat they could still have extra earnings if they adapt it to the gamecube.
Due to the lack of online capabilities if they decide to adapt MK:D to the gamecube, what they could do is to add exclusive content for the gamecube version. I don't know, exclusive making of MK:D videos or exclusive media, extra characters, galleries, etc that would encourage owners of gamecubes to buy the tittle or just to balance the lack of online capabilities. Just look at SoulCalibur II, the gamecube version was the one that selled the most thanks to that.
Maybe MKOnline should represent this part of the MK Kommunity, the ones who are owners of gamecubes, and let them know at Midway that a part of the MK fan base would be left out if they finally decide to not adapt it to the gamecube.

Using the GC controller is a nightmare for fighting games. That might have something to do with it too.

Hey can you guys ask about PC? Come on. MKD needs to be for PC!!!

I hope it comes out on Gamecube, with Gamecube only features. Although i have a PS2, X-Box AND Gamecube, id get the Gamecube version personaly if it was coming out on it

It's much harder to develope for the Gamecube. Also, as of right now, its the console thats doing the worst. Hate to say it but its true. I have all the systems and CAN'T remember the last time I played My GC. As someone mentioned above, the GC controller was terrible for MK:DA. I mean TERRIBLE.
GC owners, Why the long faces. I mean you ARE getting Twin Snakes AND Resident Evil 4.
I still think Xbox is the best system out.

Didn't you own an Xbox? Either way, hooray for Midway for at least considering a Cube version.

YAY lil good news for us cube owners... enough to keep me going right now-- pshh gamecube controllers suck on fighting games eh? I seem to doing just fine with it-- its all about perception, if you can manipulate the buttons to correspond to the PS2 style its actually pretty much to the same, at least thats what Ive experienced.

Lol.. exclusive content... yah right. Nintendo should just get their head out of their butts and make online play availible to game cube owners.
